Description
Disc with blades on both sides for centrifugal machines, especially steam or gas turbines. For steam turbines, i.e. a special type of centrifugal machine, in the case of the radially acted steam turbine, it has been proposed to have the blade rings carried by a single-sided bladed disc that is so strong that it is essentially against the occurring thrust stresses rigid body behaves.
The counterpart to this is the so-called shear-resistant, elastic disc, which is made extremely thin and which can then be bladed on one or both sides. In the case of two-sided blading, there are bars between the two-sided blades, regardless of whether they are arranged on the same diameter or offset, which are approximately S-shaped deformed under the thrust that occurs.
The deformation can, however, be significantly reduced if the webs are made to disappear by staggering the two-sided blade rings so that the outer diameter of the ring on one side is the same as the inner diameter of the following ring on the other side. Through this the bars fall away and the pane becomes more rigid.
The present invention ent holds a continuation of this idea, namely in such a way that the ring overlap of the two-sided: blade rings depending on the stresses that occur is differently large. In this way, a disk formed by the overlaps and having an essentially conical cross section is produced.
The invention will be explained using the illustration in which such a disk is shown schematically. The blade rings R on one side and R2 on the other side are carved out of the disk building material S. The disc loaded on both sides is obviously more stressed at the root than at the outer circumference. To take this fact into account, the following arrangement is now made.
The ring R, and the ring R .. overlap to a certain extent by the amount s ",. This amount of overlap is not constant over the diameter of the disk, but increases with the increasing stress, so that the greatest stress on the overlap s In this way, a new disc design is created that can neither be addressed as a rigid disc in the sense of the earlier proposals nor as a shear-resistant, elastic disc in the sense of the current proposals.
How large the degree of growth of the overlap is to be selected is determined by the designer. The limit case is given when the permissible strength values are reached.
