Strommesswandler für Gleichstrom, Wellenstrom oder niederfrequenten
Wechselstrom fahrende Leitungen.
Current transducers for direct current, wave current or low frequency
AC power lines.
In current measuring transformers for lines carrying direct current, the direct current in the conductor is measured by a compensation current which counteracts the magnetization generated by the conductor current in the iron core of the converter. The exact adjustment of this compensation current takes place automatically by means of a device which is arranged in an air gap in the iron core and which directly controls suitable control elements in the compensation circuit. The direct current voltage source switched on in the compensation circuit was previously connected via a changeover switch so that, depending on the current direction in the conductor, the corresponding current direction is also present in the compensation circuit.
The known current converters for direct current can therefore only be used in cases where the direction of the conductor direct current remains the same.
This disadvantage, which hitherto made it impossible to use direct current transducers for measuring transfer powers and the like, is avoided in the current transformer according to the invention. The new current transducer allows not only the measurement of the conductor direct current with regard to its magnitude, but also with regard to its direction at the same time, and that without special switching devices.
Furthermore, the new current transducer is also suitable for measuring alternating currents and low-frequency wave currents. According to the invention, the device arranged in the air gap of the converter core controls at least one resistance of a bridge circuit fed with direct current, and the compensation circuit located on the iron core is connected to this bridge circuit in such a way that the compensating direct current has a Dfal3 for the one in the conductor in terms of magnitude and direction represents flowing stream.
In the embodiment shown in the drawing, the conductor G carrying the direct current is surrounded by an iron core E which has an air gap at L.
A rotatable armature Q is attached between the poles Pi and Px of the iron core. which, depending on the direction of the magnetic field in the air gap between Pl and Po by means of the lever H and the springs F, increases or increases the resistance W1 and W2. scaled down. These two variable resistors W1 and W2, which are best made of carbon pressure resistors, form a bridge circuit with the two fixed resistors W3 and W4, to whose one diagonal 1, 2 the compensation winding C and to the other diagonal 3, 4 the battery B are connected is.
In series with the compensation winding C is the ammeter A, which measures the size and direction of the compensation current. The compensation winding C is advantageously attached to a web T which forms a connection for the magnetic field generated by the conductor G and acts as a shunt. The number of ampere-turns to be applied for the compensation can be reduced to an arbitrarily selectable fraction of the conductor G? generated ampere-turns are reduced.
The circuit is now set up in such a way that the bridge is balanced as precisely as possible when conductor G is de-energized. The variable resistances W1 must therefore be pretensioned by means of the springs F and the resistances W @, W4 dimensioned in such a way that W1 W4 = W2 W3. The bridge diagonal 1, 2 is then voltage-free, and no compensation current flows in the compensation winding. When the conductor G flows through it, the rotatable AnLer Q experiences a torque which, for example, reduces the resistance W1, but increases the resistance W2 =.
As a result, a potential difference arises at the bridge diagonal 1, 2, so that a current flows in the winding C. The battery B is now connected in such a way that the compensation current at P1, P. generates a magnetic field. which counteracts the magnetic field generated by the conductor G. Once this adjustment has been made, it is obviously retained even if the direction of the current in G changes. Then, however, under the above conditions, it is not the resistance W1 but the resistance T} r2 that is reduced and at the same time TT'1 is increased, so that the compensation current also changes direction automatically.
The instrument A is therefore expediently designed as a single instrument, which deflects in one or the other direction depending on the direction of the compensation current.
The practical design of the current transformer is by no means restricted to the exemplary embodiment shown. For example, it is easily possible to control only the resistor Tlrl by means of the armature Q and to select the remaining resistors Tir2, W3, W4 to be fixed. The resistance of TF1 is then to be taken such that with a maximum field in the air gap it has a maximum xvert for one magnetic field direction but a minimum value for the opposite magnetic field direction, while with a field-free space between P: t, P2 its resistance has an intermediate value mū at which the bridge is leveled.
Another possible implementation is that not W1 and W2 are changed against meaningful, but H \ and H in the same direction, while W3 and W2 are kept constant. You can also control all four resistors at the same time by the armature Q so that W1, W4 are changed in the same direction, W2, W are changed in opposite directions to the former.
The automatic reversal of the compensation current when the current direction changes in conductor C offers the particular advantages that the current transformer is very stable and therefore the compensation can be increased. The current transformer is therefore also suitable for measuring very low-frequency alternating currents. Wave currents with a wave frequency that is not too high can also be measured, whereby a separate display of the mean direct current and the superimposed alternating current is possible.
Because of their simple and robust design, carbon pressure regulators are preferable for the current transformer described. However, other control resistors, such as Tirillregl, er and regulators using the rolling sector contact method, can also be installed.
In the case of Eohledruok resistors, further additional means are advantageously provided which periodically change the pressure on the Wohlescheiben. The result is that the hysteresis curve that occurs with such control resistors, that is, the course of the resistance as a function of the pressure exerted on it, is largely avoided. This is important in the case of the current transformers described insofar as the sensitivity of the automatic compensation could be impaired by the hysteresis curves.
How the periodic change in pressure of the resistances itself occurs, is only of minor importance for the essence of the invention. For example, an auxiliary winding fed with alternating current could also be provided on the iron core E for this purpose. It is also possible to operate the excitation coil Q of the drive system not with pure direct current, but with a wave current whose alternating current component causes the required periodic pressure changes. The frequency of these pressure changes is expediently set as high as possible, with this auxiliary frequency being greater than the frequency of the alternating current component of a wave current that may be measured.
The voltage source B, which feeds the compensation circuit, preferably consists of a rectifier device which is connected to the normal alternating current network; however, the direct current drawn from the given direct current network or via voltage dividers can also be applied to the feed points of the resistor bridge.
