Device for mixing at least two low-frequency programs. The invention relates to a device for mixing at least two low-frequency programs. The device according to the invention has at least two amplifier channels, the input circuits of which are intended to receive a low-frequency program each and the output circuits of which are connected to a common circuit, the gain in the) channels by changing the at least one of the electrodes an amplifier tube applied bias is adjustable.
The gain is expediently controllable by changing the bias voltage of two control grids in such a way that the ratio of the control voltages supplied to these control grids is practically constant. Using this measure prevents the amplifier tubes from being overloaded.
The drawing illustrates an exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention. The device shown has several amplifier channels, two of which are shown in the figure and are marked with 5 and 6 and whose output circuits are connected to a common circuit formed by the input circuit of an amplification stage marked with 7. The device also has a circuit marked 8 for automatic Rege development of the dynamics.
The amplifier channel 5 contains an amplifier tube 17 in which a cathode 18, an inner control grid 19, an outer control grid 16, a catch grid 21, an anode 20 and two screen grids 23 and 24 are arranged, one of which is between the two control grids 16 and 19 and the other between the outer control grid 16 and the anode 20. The signal voltage is fed to the external control grid 16 of the amplifier tube via an input transformer provided with windings 11 and 13 and a capacitor 14. The anode circuit 22 has a resistor 26 and a coupling capacitor 27.
The operating voltages for the various electrodes are taken from a network consisting of the resistors 40, 41, 42, 43, 44, 55, 56, 57, 59 and the capacitors 46, 48, 50 and 68, the resistors 40 up to and including 44 in series are connected to a voltage source which is connected to terminals 33 and 34. Between the Wi resistors 40 and 41, the resistor 26 is switched into the anode circuit of the anode 17. Between the resistors 41 and 42 is the grid to the two screen 23 and 24 leading connection 25, while the cathode 18 between the resistors 42 and 43 Wi is connected.
The control voltages required to regulate the gain of the amplifier tube 17 are obtained by means of two parallel resistors 59 on the one hand and the series circuit of the resistors 43 and 44 on the other hand, with a sliding contact 58 of the resistor 59 via the resistors 57, 56 and 55 with your Connection point 51 of resistors 43 and 44 is connected. The resistor 43 is small with respect to the resistor 44, while the counter was 59 with respect to the series connection of the resistors 43 and 44 is large. The inner control grid 19 is connected to the connection point 65 of the resistors 56 and 57: a capacitor 68 is located between this point 65 and the earth.
The outer control grid 16 is connected to the connection point 66 of the resistors 55 and 56. The bias voltages of the two control grids 16 and 19 are regulated with the aid of the sliding contact 58 of the resistor 59. Since the control grids 16 and 19 carry no current and the resistors 55, 56, 57 and 59 with respect to the resistors 43 and 44 are large, there is a fixed ratio between the control voltages of the control grid. Constant preloads can be superimposed on these control voltages. The ratio mentioned and the voltages on the screen grids are selected in such a way that the tube is not overloaded.
The resistor 57 and the capacitor 68 are located between the control grids and the sliding contact 58, where noise resulting from any bad contact with the resistor 59 is suppressed.
It is possible to arrange the resistor 59 at a certain distance from the amplifier or, as shown in the figure, to connect a resistor 73 in parallel to the terminals 60 and 61 of the resistor 59 by means of the connecting lines 74 and 75.
With the help of the switch 69, the resistor 57 can either be connected to the sliding contact 58 or via the trunk line 70-71 to the sliding contact 72 of the counter 73 in this case.
The amplifier channel 6 is completely similar to the amplifier channel 5, so that a description of the same is superfluous. The outputs of the two amplifier channels are connected in parallel by means of the line 28. The input circuit of the common amplifier channel 7 is connected to this line 28 via the capacitor 112, the anode circuit of which is connected via a capacitor 114 to the output terminals 115 and 116.
The structure of the amplifier channel 7 is also similar to that of the amplifier channel 5. It is also connected to the line 28 of the input circuit of an amplifier tube 140, the anode circuit of which is connected to the rectifier tube 145 via a capacitor 157. The circuit of the latter tube with the associated capacitors 160 and load resistor 146 is such that full-wave rectification occurs.
The DC voltage occurring at the terminals 149 and 150 of the Wi resistor 146 is proportional to the signal voltage occurring in the common output circuit of the channels 5 and 6. A portion of this DC voltage taken between the center 148 of the resistor 146 and the sliding contact 152 can be connected in series with the control voltages at the control grids of the tube 110 in the amplifier channel 7 by means of the lines 147 and 151. The amplification of the common amplifier channel 7 can be regulated automatically in this way.
In the above-mentioned manner, the gain of channels 6 and 7 can be remotely controlled by switching lines 101 and 132 and resistors 100, 131. Likewise, remote setting of the level of the automatic gain control can be done through lines 165 and the changeover switch 166.
