Method and blower for operating an internal combustion turbine system. It has already been proposed that the problem of the internal combustion turbine, i.e. the gas, oil or coal dust turbine, be solved by working with such an excess of air during the combustion process that the combustion gases are cooled sufficiently to ensure safe loading drive to ensure the turbine bucket.
In this operating mode, the achievable useful power is limited by the power of the fan required for operation, the power consumption of which is subtracted from the power output of the turbine. It is therefore of the utmost importance to limit this fan output to a minimum.
The invention relates to a method for operating an internal combustion turbine system with an uncooled turbine, in which the gases produced in the combustion chamber are cooled by additional air to the value permissible for the operating conditions of the turbine blades. The invention consists in that the combustion air is separated from the cooling air and brought to a higher pressure than the latter in order to cover the pressure losses that arise before the combustion air enters the combustion chamber. Such pressure losses can be: 1.
The loss that arises in the burner itself. For the operation and dimensioning of the combustion chamber, it is extremely important that there is a sufficient pressure gradient in the burner for good mixing of combustion air and fuel, which promotes complete and rapid combustion.
In order to achieve heat outputs in the order of magnitude of 6 to 8 million kcal / m3] room za. Achieve, you need a pressure thread in the burner in the order of 500 mm WS., a multiple: the pressure level used in normal boilers for this purpose.
2; The pressure loss for preheating. If the air is preheated to promote combustion and increase the efficiency of the same, this should also be limited to the combustion air and the pressure increase which is necessary to cover the pressure loss of the preheater in addition to the pressure loss of the burner to be made only for this.
3. In the case of dust firing, the pressure loss in the mill for grinding the fuel. When burning coal, it can be useful to grind the same under pressure, with a further pressure loss in the mill, especially if it is a pneumatic table impact mill. Expediently, the mill should only be sent with the combustion air and only this should be given the additional pressure increase which, apart from that, is necessary to cover the other losses.
It is advisable to use a multi-stage fan to carry out the process according to the invention, in which individual stages promote the total amount of air consisting of the combustion air and the cooling air, while at least one stage downstream of these stages only promotes the combustion air and increases it to a higher level Brings pressure.
Since the combustion air is only a fraction of the cooling air, it can be useful to train that part of the fan that has to promote the entire amount of air as an axial fan, as this has a higher efficiency than the centrifugal fan and is better than this Suitable for large amounts of air, while the further conveyance of the combustion air and its pressure increase is better done by a centrifugal fan, which is better adapted to the small amount than the axial fan.
If the system is operated in conjunction with an impact mill to crush the fuel, it can be useful to use only a fraction of the combustion air as a working medium for the impact mill and only give this part of the combustion air a further pressure increase. which pressure increase can be generated with a further level of the fan adapted to this air volume. The fan can consist of three stages or three stage groups, with the third stage bezv. the third stage group only promotes this part of the combustion air and brings it to the pressure required for the operation of the impact mill.
The invention will be explained, for example, with the aid of the drawing, which shows a combustion turbine system.
a represents a combustion chamber, wel chem through line b, the agent to be burned, gas, oil or coal dust, is supplied, while the combustion air is introduced through line c. The temperature of the combustion gas is cooled to the value admissible for the operating conditions of the blades of the internal combustion turbine f by an amount of cooling air which exceeds the amount of combustion air by several times and which enters the combustion chamber through the line d and the annular space e. The internal combustion turbine f, which is shown here as a positive pressure turbine, but can also be designed as a pressure turbine, drives the fan g.
This sucks in all of the cooling air and combustion air from the atmosphere and first compresses it with the first part 1a designed as an axial fan to the pressure that the cooling air needs to penetrate through the slots i into the combustion chamber against the pressure prevailing there, while the second part 1, in this example designed as a single-stage centrifugal fan, brings the rest of the air used for combustion to a correspondingly higher pressure.
depending on whether a Pral.lmühle l or a preheater m is connected upstream of the burner u, verseM-e- must be large.
The pressure increase in the combustion air can be equal to the pressure loss in the burner or: the pressure loss in the burner and in the preheater or the pressure loss in the burner and in the grinding device or the pressure loss in the burner and in the preheater and in the grinding device. The preheater m 'could also be preclialtet to the mill. Either all of the exhaust gas, which leaves the gas turbine at o, or only part of it, which is passed through the line p through the preheater m 'or n, is used for preheating.
The centrifugal fan could also be multi-stage.
