Valve device for siphon sanitary installations. The subject of the invention is a valve device for sanitary installations with a siphon, for example for drain pipes from sinks, sewers or water closets.
The purpose of this device is to ventilate the siphon and prevent it from emptying; it comprises a valve which moves freely to rise from its seat when the atmospheric pressure is greater than that prevailing in the siphon, and to apply to this seat in the opposite case.
The device according to the invention is charac terized in that the valve is formed by an axially movable disc, in that it has, inside its body, a central duct, communicating, on the one hand, with the interior of the siphon and, on the other hand, with a pressure chamber arranged so that the pressure prevailing inside acts on the upper face of the valve disc, and in that it has a second bedroom,
communicating freely with the atmosphere and arranged so that the pressure reigning therein acts on the. underside of said disc, in the region. central thereof, inside, of its seat which is annular in shape.
The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the subject of the invention.
Fig. 1 shows in front elevation, the device mounted on a water evacuation pipe @ siphon; fig. 2 is a longitudinal section, on a larger scale, the valve being lifted from its seat; fig. 3 -is a section on line III-III of FIG. 2, the valve being lowered on. his seat; fig. 4 is a section along line IV-IV of .la, fig. 3.
In the siphon pipe 5 is screwed, by means of a threaded sleeve 6, a hollow valve body 7 closed at its top by a cover 8 screwed onto the valve body. Between these two elements is inserted a sealing washer 9. The valve body 7 has a central duct 10 which communicates, on the one hand, with the interior of the pipe 5 and, on the other hand, with a chamber. pressure 12, by means of two channels 13 diametrically opposed to each other.
This pressure chamber is located under the cover 8 and contains a valve formed by a disc 14 capable of closing off, respectively re-establishing the, communication between the chamber 12 and a second pressure chamber 15, arranged in the axis of the body. valve 7, depending on whether the shutter disc 14 is lowered on its seat, of annular shape (fig. 3), or raised therefrom (fig. 2).
The chamber 15 communicates with the atomosphere via two lateral channels 16, diametrically opposed to one another, and alternating with the channels 13 which bypass it. chamber 15, and open into chamber 12, outside the closure disc 14 forming the valve.
The closure disc 14 has a rod 17 freely adjusted in a corresponding bore 18 formed in the cover 8 to ensure the guidance of the disc during its movement.
When the atmospheric pressure is greater than that prevailing in the siphon, the sealing disc 14 moves freely and rises from its seat (FIG. 2), the atmospheric pressure prevailing in the. chamber 15 acting on the underside of the disc, in the central region thereof. On the contrary, when the internal pressure of the siphon is greater than. atmospheric pressure, this pressure, also prevailing in the chamber. 192, acts on the upper face of the shutter disc 14 and applies the latter. On its seat.
The device could comprise less or more than two channels 13, respectively 16.
