Fig. 1 zeigt im Aufriss und Schnitt nach der Linie 1-I von Fig. 2 die erste Ausfüh rungsform; Fig. 2 zeigt den Grundriss zu Fig. 1 nach Linie II-II der Fig. 1 gesehen;
Device for dividing and removing measured quantities of powders and pastes. In the production of metal powders, especially so-called bronze powders, it is desirable to be able to add small, precisely measured quantities of solid or semi-solid lubricants to the material to be grinded and to the crushed material to be polished. Particularly in the latter stage, it is desirable that the appropriate small amount of lubricant is introduced into the polishing drum at the same time as the powder, and that this is supplied in precisely measured amounts corresponding to the actual amount of powder introduced,
so that the entire amount of lubricant required is distributed essentially evenly among the contents of the drum, since satisfactory results will not be sufficient if the same entire amounts are introduced separately into the drum and only mixed by the action of the drum.
The device according to the invention is primarily intended for the above purpose, but can be used in conjunction with other apparatus or processes where it is desired to add a series of small measured amounts of a powder or paste.
The inventive device is characterized in that it has a movable member with openings inside a Be container, which openings by the movement of the movable member one after the other from the inside of the container for the material where they are filled with material after a Exit point are moved outside the container for the purpose of separating dosed amounts of material, with selectable actuatable means being provided at the exit point,
in order to act on a selection of openings in the moving member determined by the desired dose and to bring about the escape of the material located in the same.
The moving member is preferably in the form of a rotating disc, the upper surface of which lies in the lower part of a vessel for the material and is partially arranged in the loading container, whereby when the disc is rotated, the disc openings are successively removed from the space where they are filled, moved to the exit point who and carry material.
The invention is illustrated in the drawings in two exemplary embodiments.
Fig. 1 shows in elevation and section along the line 1-I of Fig. 2, the first Ausfüh approximate shape; FIG. 2 shows the plan view of FIG. 1 along line II-II of FIG. 1;
Fig. 3 is an elevation partly in section along the line III-III of Fig. 2, Figs. 4 to 6 show the second Ausfüh approximately form in Figs. 1 to 3 correspond to the views, and Fig. 7 shows a side view of the lower part of FIG. 6.
In each of the cases shown, the member provided with openings is a rotating disc and the cooperating individually operable means at the exit point be available from a rotatable block, which has exit means at different parts of the variable combina tions that ent the desired opening combinations speak who should unload the material at the same time.
In the drawings, the same parts are denoted by the same reference numerals. The material to be separated is contained in the vessel 1, which is closed by the lid 2, which can be held in the closed position by means of a screw nut. At the lower end, the vessel 1 is closed by a plate 5 which is provided with a circular recess which receives a circular disk 6 of such a thickness that its upper surface is level with the upper side of the plate 5. The disk 6 is fastened on a shaft 7 which carries a worm wheel 8 which is driven by a worm 9 on the shaft 10.
In the lower part of the vessel 1, radial blades 14 and 15 are arranged on a centrally arranged shaft 13. These blades are in the form of flat plates that enclose an angle to the vertical and extend tightly to the upper surface of the plate 5 and the disk 6. They are inclined in opposite directions, so that, for example, the blades 14 serve as stroking members that smooth the material against the bottom of the vessel, while the blades 15 are moving members that stir the material and lift it off the ground, in such a way that ' that no baking or balling together can take place.
The disc 6 is provided with a number of openings which lie on zones of ver different radius on the disc, as best shown in FIGS. 2 and 5. During the rotation of the disc 6 and the arms 14 and 15, the series holes are completely filled with material as they go through the bottom of the vessel 1. The material in the openings is brought from the vessel to the exit point 16 by the rotation.
At 16 means are provided which force the material contained in the openings to exit into an outlet 17 which, in the device shown, leads to a manual outlet 18 through which the material passes through which the exact amounts of lubricant or other in the vessel contained material is to be added. In order to facilitate the exit of the material from the openings in the disc 6, the openings are preferably designed so that they widen downwards, as indicated in FIG. 1.
The exit of the material can be supported by balls with a diameter slightly larger than the diameter of the openings and the force effect of the balls can only be based on the gravity of the same as shown in FIG. 4, or it can be suppressed by springs acting on them. are supported as Fig. 1 shows. It is also possible to use mechanically operated means, which inevitably enter the openings, to discharge the material at the exit point 16. With such a device, however, it is necessary to provide an off-setting rotation of the disc 6 and then move the piston or similar members when the disc 6 is at rest.
The device is simpler if balls loaded with weight or with springs are used, so that the problem of the time operation of the ejector members with the rotation of the disc 6 need not be considered.
In the constructions shown by FIGS. 1 to 3 and 4 to 7, the exit from the openings of the disc 6 is effected by a block 19 which can be dieht around the shaft 20. The block is provided with a series of holes which correspond to the various possible combinations of the zones of the openings on the disc 6 ent.
A spring or weight loaded ball or equivalent discharge means are provided in each of the individual openings or combinations of openings such that, in accordance with the position of the block 19, the contents of the appropriate openings or combination of openings from the disc 6 at point 16 can be discharged. It is evident that only the openings or combinations of openings that have been read are discharged and that the contents of the remaining openings are returned to the vessel 1. The block 19 is provided with a plate 21 through which it can be rotated as desired.
If desired, the block can be rotated while the adjustment device is moving, so that the amount exiting can be brought in accordance with the requirements.
In order to support the discharge of the material from the openings in the disk 6 and to be sure that the discharged material goes through the line 17 to the main line 18, the shaft 20 can be made hollow, as shown in FIG the bore 22 shown and this can be connected to a line 23 through wel che compressed gas can be passed.
At the upper end of the shaft 20 a lateral opening 24 is provided, which corresponds to a passage 25 in the block 19, from which the gas everywhere to the ejector balls and through the openings in the disk 6 to the line 17 can flow. To enable the passage of the lubricant to be observed, an observation glass 26 is built between the exit point 16 and the pipe 17.
The following is supposed to. the structural design of the device according to FIGS. 1 to 3 will now be particularly described.
The lid 2 is held in position by a nut which is mounted on the threaded end 3 of a bolt 4 which is fixed in the plate 5 and is also used in conjunction with similar bolts to secure the Ge barrel 1 in its position .
In order that the shaft 10 can be driven from one of the two ends, the same is provided with gears 11 and 12, whereby it can be driven by polishing, attrition or other apparatus to which it is connected.
The openings, which lie on zones of different radius in the disc 6, are of different sizes, but of the same number in each zone. Moreover, all openings in any zone are of the same size. With three different zones, as shown in Fig. 2, it is possible to discharge seven different amounts of material with each rotation of the disc 6 by emptying the openings of one or more zones. The block 19, Fig. 2, is provided with seven series of holes.
which correspond to the seven possible combinations. The constructions shown in Fig. 4 to 7 show other forms of execution.
As best shown in FIG. 5, the plate 6 may, instead of each having an equal number of openings of different sizes located in concentric zones at different distances from the center, as shown in FIG. 2, with openings all of the same size in such Zones must be provided, but the number of openings in the different zones is different. Four zones are seen before, with five openings in the outer zone and the number of openings in the successive zones is reduced downwards in the inner zone, which contains only two openings.
It is obvious. that with this arrangement, with each rotation of the disk 6, a certain amount of material, corresponding to which zone or zones of openings that are loaded through the channel 17, results.
The rotatable block 19 with the balls for the optional discharge of the desired rings and openings in the disc 6 differs from the construction shown in Fig. 1 in that the loading of the balls by weights in the form of further balls and not by Springs he follows, while the housing that contains the block 19. is closed at the upper end by a plate 27 and the spindle 20, with which the disc 19 rotates, extends through the plate 27 and guides a disc 28 which is provided with a release device 29 including a spring-loaded pin 30 to move into one of To grab a number of spaced recesses in the head of the plate 27.
In this way, the block 19 is held in the working position corresponding to the desired dose. The exact position of the block 19 can be determined by a scale on the circumference of the disk 28 in conjunction with a pointer 31. The block 19 is provided with nine different settings or ball combinations which correspond to nine of different possible combinations of the four zone openings.
The cover plate 2 of the vessel 1 is held by bolts 4 with thread as in the construction of Fig. 1, but the cover plate is provided with a central filling opening with an independent lid 32, which in the closed position by a bracket 33 and a pivotable screw 34 can be clamped. In this way, a more promising access to the interior of the vessel 1 is made light.
As in the first device, the material discharged from the disk 6 passes through the sight glass 26 in the line 17, which is connected to the tube 18, through which the metal powder or other material, a dose of lubricating material or a similar substance from the vessel 1 is to be added.
This is best seen in Fig. 6, where the line 17 is mounted vertically downwards from the sight glass 26, but instead of being directly connected to the pipe 18, each of the two lines leads to a rotary flap which is driven by a fan wheel 25, that rotates in the housing 36 is formed.
By using such a rotatable member it is achieved that each dose of lubricant or similar substance is mixed with a corresponding amount of metal powder or other material from the line '18 before it leaves the fan wheel 35 and goes to the apparatus where it is receives further treatment.
In order to obtain the desired relative rotational speed of the fan wheel and the disc 6, a gear 37 on the shaft 10 engages with a gear 38 on a shaft 39, which carries another gear 40 which is in a gear 41 on the shaft 42 of the fan wheel 35 takes effect. The entire device can be driven either by the shaft 10, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, or by the shaft 39.
So that samples of the material passing through the tube 18 can be taken from time to time, the tube 18 is provided with a junction 43 with a tap 44, at the outlet of which a container 45 by means of a bayonet lock with a slot 46 in the container, which cooperates with a pin 47 on the tap housing, be can be strengthened. By using a hollow closed container, as shown in Fig. 6, it is possible to take samples at any time of the material passing through the conduit 18 without bringing the conduit 18 into communication with the outside atmosphere.
