Overcurrent circuit breaker with two magnetic blowing and tripping coils. The invention relates to an overcurrent self-switch, the base of which carries two magne tables blowing and trigger coils, a switching chamber there between and a switching mechanism.
In the known overcurrent self-switches with two magnetic blower and trip coils and an intermediate switching chamber, the armature to control the tripping mechanism is formed by an iron plate, which coils in .grosser distance from the magnet cooperates with the legs firmly seated on the iron cores. The anchor is under the action of a relatively weak magnetic field.
The stray lines that close directly around the magnet coils do not allow a strong field to occur at the armature. Since there are no great mechanical forces on the armature, the known automatic switches of this type cannot work with short tripping times unless the magnet coils are considerably enlarged. An enlargement of the magnet coils has, however, an enlargement of the dimensions of the switch.
The invention is intended to provide a more favorable control of the tripping mechanism by the magnet armature for the overcurrent self-switch of the type mentioned above.
According to the invention, the blowing and release coils are facing each other with their one end face and the rotatably mounted armature has two legs rigidly connected to one another by an iron bar, the free ends of which lie in front of the outer end faces of the magnet coils and are attracted by the in Iron cores lying on the coils tend to move perpendicular to the axial direction of these.
The advantages of the invention are explained in the description of the embodiment.
In the drawing, an exemplary embodiment of the Erfiu.dungsge "" is shown in three views (FIGS. 1 to 3) and four individual representations (FIGS. 4 to 7).
1 is the ceramic insulating base of the circuit breaker and 2 is the cover cap. From the cap protrudes a power button 3, also a push button 4, which ge equips it to solve trainees the switch by hand.
Two magnet coils 5 and 6 are arranged coaxially on the base. The circuit breaker interruption is located between them. It is surrounded by a switching chamber 7, which can be made of ceramic material, for example. Instead, you can also use other switching chamber constraints per se known training.
The two coils 5 and 6 exert a blowing effect on the interruption section located between them, which results in a significant increase in the switching capacity in particular because the interruption section is largely cut perpendicularly by the magnetic lines of force and the density of the lines of force is straight is particularly large at this point.
The stationary contact piece 8 is connected to a T-shaped contact strip 9 (FIGS. 4 and 5). The two opposite free ends of the T-shape serve directly to connect the coil windings 10. The coils can be wound from flat ribbon.
This leads to a simple line routing and easy assembly.
The movable contact piece 11 is fastened to an insulating body 12 which is resiliently connected to the switching lever 13 actuated by the mechanism. A pin 14 is let into the insulating piece 12, by means of which the contact piece 11 is riveted. The power supply to the contact piece 11 takes place through a ribbon-shaped strand 15. Such a flat fabric tape has the advantage that it does not exert any resistance perpendicular to the side, as could be the case with the current supplies made of leaf springs or strands with a round cross-section.
The fastening of the insulating piece 12 on the shift lever 13 takes place according to FIGS. 6 and 7 in such a way that the two legs of the approximately. U-shaped switching lever 13 are pressed into matching recesses of the insulating piece 12. The ends of the legs of the shift lever 13 are rounded so that the insulating piece can be rotated to a limited extent around the ends of the shift lever. A spring 16 is supported on the one hand against the switching lever 13 and on the other hand against the insulating piece 12.
The mechanism actuating the shift lever 13 is arranged between two boards 17 at. The mechanism contains a toggle lock which is formed from the switching arm 13 and the arms 18, 19 and 20. The arm 20 is rotatable about a fixed axis 21; it carries a locking lever 22 which is supported against a stop lever 23.
A bimetal strip 24 acts on the stop lever 23. The button 4 for manual release also acts on the same lever, if necessary with the intermediary of an intermediate lever which transmits the movement. The stop lever 23 can also be actuated by the magnet armature. will. The magnet armature has two legs 25 and an iron web 27 connecting the legs to one another. The ends of the legs 25 lie in front of the outer end faces of the magnet coils 5, 6 and are under the influence of the iron cores 29 of the coils.
The iron web 27 holds the two legs 25 in a certain position to one another and also serves as a magnetic return circuit. The anchor is rotatably mounted on an axis. In the embodiment shown, the magnet armature is mounted on the same axis 26 as the shift lever 13. The axis 26 has such an arrangement that the ends of the legs 2 <5 of the magnet armature through the iron cores lying in the magnet coils perpendicular to the axial direction of these iron cores be moved.
Through the axis 26, the magnetic circuit in the armature is also closed. An extension 28 of one of the legs 25 of the armature can act on the stop lever 23. Instead, the magnet armature and the manual release can also act on an intermediate lever that is used only to transmit movement.
The overcurrent circuit breaker shown in the drawing has the following effects.
2 shows the overcurrent circuit breaker in the switch-off position. If the push button 3 is depressed, the knee formed by the levers 18 and 19 moves in the direction of the base 1. The lever 20 articulated on the lever 19 is supported against the stop lever 23. When the knee moves downward, the knee joint stretches and leads the shift lever 13 by rotating about the axis 26 in the A switching position. If a short circuit occurs, the iron cores of the magnet coils 5 and 6 attract the legs 25 of the magnet armature. This pushes the extension 28 of the armature against the stop lever 23 and moves it to the side.
Since this movement of the stop lever 23 of the lever 20 loses its support, the switch-off spring acting on the switch lever 13 can move the switch lever into the switch-off position, with the knee joint formed by the levers 18, 19 shifting in the direction of the lever 20.
The described design and arrangement of the armature has the following advantages: Because the armature is formed by two legs and an iron web connecting them, it is possible to expose the armature to a particularly strong magnetic field. The legs are brought close to the iron cores of the coils, i.e. the places where the magnetic flux is strongest. The at the legs and the web form the magnetic return for the magnet coils. The larger the magnetic field, the greater the forces of attraction. Greater attractive forces reduce the tripping time of the self-switch in a desirable manner.
It should also be added that the magnet armature can easily be given such a mounting on the release mechanism that the lever arm 25 working together with the iron cores is larger than the lever arm 28 working together with the members of the release mechanism. In this way, favorable transmission ratios can be achieved can be achieved, which also increase the triggering forces on the links of the triggering mechanism.
