Switching resistor for film projectors. In film projectors, it is known to adapt the device to different mains voltages to provide ballast resistors that lie in the circuit of the image projection lamp lowing resistance windings and separate windings lying in the circuit of the drive motor of the projector aufwei sen.
The invention relates to a particularly advantageous embodiment of such a switching resistor. According to the invention, the tapping contacts for the individual sections of the two resistance windings are attached to both sides of a contact strip on an insulating plate in such a way that contacts connected to the lamp resistor alternate with contacts connected to the motor resistor. A single contact spring can then be provided for tapping the resistance sections or parts required in each case, which connects the tapping contacts at the same height to the contact strip.
In the drawing, a Ausführungsbei is shown game of the subject invention. The figures show: FIG. 1 a front view of the ballast resistor, FIG. 2 a view from above, FIG. 3 a diagram showing the connection of the individual resistance windings to the tapping contacts.
On a plate 1 made of insulating material, two rows of contact terminals 2 are attached. A metallic contact strip 3 is attached to the plate 1 between these contact clamps. A contact spring 4 is in conductive connection with a smaller metal plate 5. It is covered on the outside by a cover strip 6 made of insulating material. A guide block 7 made of insulating material is also attached to the cover strip 6.
The block i, the cover plate 6, the contact spring 4 and the plate 5 are penetrated by a screw 8 on which an isolie render knob 9 is located. The screw 8 can be screwed into each of the nut threads M of the contact strip 3. Does it then establish the connection between two terminals lying in the same hell? and the contact strip 3 ago.
At the terminals? On the opposite side of the plate I, two guide plates 10 and 11 are attached. These plates have grooves on their edge for guiding the resistance spirals 1? Provided for your lamp circuit, and there are also stanchions 10a, a few distances from the edge,
lla to guide the opposing spirals 13 provided for the circuit of the drive motor. The individual spirals 12 and 13 are connected to the clamps in the manner shown particularly in FIG. From Fig. 3 it can be seen that the lowermost terminals? nl are connected to the attachments of the two resistor windings.
The beginnings of the second resistance spirals and the ends of the first resistance spirals are brought up to the overlying Klem men. The terminals above these are again connected to the beginning of the third and the end of the second of the individual resistance spirals, and so on. Of the terminals at the same height, one always connects to the motor resistor, while the other connects to the lamp resistor.
If the contact spring 4 is set to a certain pair of terminals and tightened against the contact strip 3, there is a certain corresponding number of individual resistance spirals in the circuit of the drive motor as well as in the circuit of the image throw flange, which adapt the device at a certain mains voltage.
The individual mains voltages in question are in the form of a scale on the outer surface of a jacket 14 which surrounds the ballast resistor
