Description
Schlossfalle.
Lock latch. In the known lock latches, the sliding surface, which works together with the strike plate during the Schliessbe movement, is either flat or convex ge arched. These shapes of the sliding surface have the disadvantage that the impact of the latch on the edge of the strike plate is suddenly hard and therefore relatively noisy.
The invention avoids this deficiency in that the sliding surface of the lock is composed of a concave gel.:# curved part that comes into effect during the closing movement and a convex curved part that comes into effect afterwards, these two parts gradually merge into one another.
The accompanying figures show an embodiment of the invention, namely Fig. 1 shows a partial section of a lock. Fig. \? an oblique view of the lock housing with the latch. According to the figures, the sliding surface of the latch c, which cooperates as usual with the strike plate a, is concavely curved in its part b which first comes into effect during the closing movement; this concavely curved part gradually merges into the convexly curved part.
When closing the door or the like. The strike plate sliding on surface b pushes the trap back in the direction of the arrow until it snaps into recess d of the strike plate as usual (Fig. 1 dashed lines). The concave curved part b of the trap causes a shock-free, gentle., Ge noiseless, and above all easy to push back the trap.
In Fig. 2, the case is shown in association with the lock housing f.
As the figures show, the back surface g of the latch runs too slightly obliquely towards the edge h, which makes it easier for the latch to slip into the locked position in the strike plate.
