Die erfindungsgemässe Vorrichtung zur Herstellung solcher Streifen besteht aus einem Behälter, der irgendwie, zweckmässig dosen artig, geformt und aus beliebigem, vorteilhaft leichtem Material hergestellt sein kann, mit der in demselbem eingelegten Papierrolle;
Provision for rigid bending of paper strips. The purpose of this device is to bend a paper strip unwound from a roll in its width like a roof ridge, so that it is thereby stiffened, namely while it is being pulled out of the arrangement in which it is enclosed as a roll, and this shaping of the strip fens should preferably serve to
to stiffen so-called paper streamers (for carnival or other amusements) each in some length when pulling them out of the device, i.e. in sections, so that then torn pieces can be thrown as stiffened paper strips similar to an arrow. In addition, such pinched paper strips can also be used (bundled or in some other way) for decorative purposes.
The inventive device for producing such strips consists of a container which somehow, appropriately can-like, shaped and made of any desired, advantageously light material, with the paper roll inserted in the same;
The container is provided with a beak-like, from a front edge and a saddle-shaped squeezer seated above it formed from the outlet, as a result of the Ge design of, for example, with the fingers of one hand through the openings through aas the container held with the other hand ge pulled out paper fen is crimped together in its width like a roof ridge and thereby stiffened.
This device is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing, Fig. 1 showing the closed device with the protruding end of the paper strip, Fig. 2 a section through the container part a with the inserted paper roll, Fig. 3 a section through the cover part .b for itself in the same position as when it was combined with part a,
Fig. 4 both container parts on an enlarged scale during their closing together and rotation to the end position and Fig. 5 the same in the position of use, seen from the opening, also on an enlarged scale.
In this example, the bending or Kniffschnabel made so that one part a of the container composed of this and the lid part L has a small cutout c at one point of its cylindrical edge and a protruding acute-angled front edge d be seated at this cutout, while the edge of the lid part b with a likewise from Edge protruding Quetsuher f 'is provided, which comes to sit in the form of a saddle on the front edge d when joining the two container parts a and b .
So that the two container parts can easily be grasped, joined together and twisted into one another, each of them is provided with a ge rimmed annular bead g on the edge of the base and edge.
After the container parts have been put together, they are turned into each other, as shown in Fig. 4, until the squeezing parts d and f close together tightly, but not absolutely, i.e. the squeezing saddle f comes to stand close to the front edge d, i.e. that only such a small gap h remains between the two that a strip of the paper roll i inserted into the container can still be pulled through the opening c and through the gap lt, which is angular in cross-section,
The first pulling out of the strip is effected before the cover part b is put over part a and before the two container parts are twisted together, and the degree of twisting of the front edge and the pinch saddle can also be limited by an attachment somewhere. In place of the annular bead g any other arrangement for convenient he grasp the container parts can be made.
To use the container is grasped with one (cupped) hand and then the paper strip, which is pulled out with the other hand and pinched together like a roof ridge, is expediently also wedged between the index finger and thumb of the hand holding the container, so that the strip is wedged in the next Pulling it out is squeezed particularly sharply and then only has about half its original width, and that if a part of about 20 to 50 cm in length is torn off on this, it forms a fairly stiff piece, capable of being thrown like an arrow to fly a certain distance.
These strips can also be printed with any joke or promotional words or otherwise equipped.
