Zweitaktbrennkraftmasehine.
Two-stroke combustion engine. The invention relates to a two-stroke internal combustion engine with at least two groups of inlet slots, through which the scavenging air is given a speed component in the direction of the cylinder circumference. The invention consists in the fact that the slots of at least one group which follow one another along the cylinder circumference are arranged in a helical line. The invention enables the amount of air to be subdivided into individual flows in such a way that they run alongside one another and cause the exhaust gases to be pushed out completely.
The helical line of the slots can, seen in the sense of the air rotation, rise in the direction of the cylinder cover. The cylinder cover facing or facing away or both edges of a group of inlet slots can increase in the sense of air rotation against the cylinder cover. The inlet slots are advantageously arranged in such a way that they are closed after the outlet slots during the compression stroke of the piston and are expediently controlled by a special organ apart from the piston.
The subject of the invention is explained in more detail below with reference to the drawing. Fig. 1 shows in simplified form the longitudinal section through a vertical machine which is an embodiment of the subject invention; Fig. 2 is a section on the line II-II of Fig. 1; Fig. 3 is a section on the line III-III of Fig. 1; Fig. 4 shows the crank circuit diagram; Fig. 5 and 5a represent the wall of the Zy Linders unwound or. cut out; Fig. 6 and 6a and 7 and 7a show two variants also processed respectively. , cut.
By the piston 1, which is shown in Fig. 1 in the bottom dead center position, who closed the outlet slots 3 arranged in the cylinder 2 in front of the inlet slots 4 during the compression stroke. The air supply to the inlet slots 4 is controlled by special valves 5, which are arranged in the air supply line 6, except from the piston 1. The inlet slots 4 are divided into groups a, b, c, the individual groups consisting of slots which follow one another along the circumference of the cylinder and are arranged in a helical line.
The upper and lower ganten 7 respectively. 8 of these groups of inlet slots are designed to increase in the sense of the air rotation against the cylinder cover. The outlet litz wires 3 open into the exhaust line 10.
As can be seen from FIG. 2, which shows a section through the inlet slots 4, these open tangentially into the cylinder and the supply of air is also influenced by a partition 9.
As can be seen from Fig. 3, which shows a section through the outlet slots SS, the exhaust gases flow to both sides of the cylinder 2 in a forked outlet channel and unite with each other when they exit the cylinder block.
As can be seen from Fig. 1 and the developed view of Fig. 5 and the section according to 5a, the screw line of the inlet slots increases in the sense of air rotation (arrows 14) against the cylinder cover and the slots all have the same inclination to a cylinder axis perpendicular plane, so that the air flows in the direction of the arrows 15 enter the cylinder at the same angle.
From the crank circuit diagram (Fig. 4) it can be seen that during the expansion stroke of the piston, the uppermost inlet slots are first released by the piston (point A); at point B the opening of the exhaust slots 3 takes place, at point C the pressure equalization in the cylinder, at which moment the scavenging air begins to flow through the valves 5 and the inlet slots 4 into the cylinder.
As a result of the tangential direction of the slots and increased by their arrangement in a screw line rotation forms around the cylinder a relatively thin layer 11 of fresh air, which rises the cylinder wall along against the cover 12, thereby the exhaust gases against the litte ver pushes and pushes out in the sense of the arrows 13 through the outlet seat 3.
By forming a narrow belt of fresh air starting from the zone of the inlet slots, the individual air flows can run next to one another without mixing up with exhaust gases from the outset, so that the exhaust gases are relatively compact and tend to be pushed out by the fresh air.
6 and 6a show a variant in which the slots of a group of inlet slots are arranged in a helical line in such a way that their upper and lower ganten lie in different planes perpendicular to the cylinder axis. The exit from the inlet slots takes place, as indicated by the arrows 16, not under the same, but under different angles to the generating of the cylinder surface.
According to FIGS. 7 and 7a, the helical line formed by the slots rises in the direction opposite to the air rotation towards the cover of the cylinder. The top and bottom of the inlet slots each form a helical line that rises in the same direction as the helical line of the inlet slots. The slope of this ganten could, however, also take place in the opposite sense. The invention can also be applied to double-acting machines.
The helical line of the inlet slot group can have the same orientation with respect to the piston in the cylinder part on the crank side as in the cylinder part remote from the crank with respect to the cylinder. Have cylinder cover.
