Roue à bandage pneumatique pour véhicule. La présente invention a pour objet une roue à bandage pneumatique pour véhicule, organisée de façon à permettre au véhicule de rouler, lorsque la chambre à air est dé gonflée, comprenant, en combinaison, les or ganes suivants: une jante dont le fond porte des saillies d'entraînement; un boudin élastique dont la circonférence intérieure est munie de mortaises d'entraîne ment destinées. à agir en combinaison avec les saillies précitées de la jante et compor tant, en outre, des coupures permettant son montage dans la jante; une enveloppe dont les bourrelets portent également des mortaises d'entraînement des tinées à agir en combinaison avec les saillies de la jante;
Pneumatic tire wheel for vehicle. The present invention relates to a tire with pneumatic tires for a vehicle, organized so as to allow the vehicle to roll, when the inner tube is uninflated, comprising, in combination, the following organs: a rim the bottom of which bears training projections; an elastic coil, the inner circumference of which is provided with intended drive mortises. in acting in combination with the aforementioned projections of the rim and comprising, in addition, cuts allowing its mounting in the rim; a casing the beads of which also carry drive mortises of the tines to act in combination with the projections of the rim;
an air chamber, the section of which has the shape of the space in which it is intended to be placed, and a mass of rubber protecting the air chamber on the side of the elastic coil. Devices are known which allow the vehicle to run when the inner tube is deflated, but all the existing devices have numerous drawbacks which are reduced to a minimum with the object of the present invention.
The wheel forming the subject of this invention allows the vehicle to run without great damage when the inner tube is deflated, thanks, on the one hand, to the elasticity of the bead and, on the other hand, to the drive by projections and mortises.
In the accompanying drawings, there is shown, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.
Fig. 1 is a cross section of the rim and the tire of the wheel; Fig. 2 is a similar partial section passing through the valve and through the member for fixing the coil; Fig. â is a perspective view of the envelope; Fig. 4 is a perspective view of the rim; Fig. 5 is a perspective view of the elastic coil; Fig. 6 is a perspective view of the assembly parts of the ends of the coil.
Referring first to fig. 1, we see at 1 a rim, at 2 the locking-ring and at 3 the projections formed on the bottom of the rim and which can moreover be seen more clearly in the perspective view of FIG. 4. In this rim are fitted, on the one hand, an elastic bead 4 which is notched on the inside face of mortises 5 intended to act in combination with the projections 3 of the rim to ensure the driving of the flange and , on the other hand, a casing 6, of the usual type, but the beads of which are also provided with mortises 7 also intended to act in combination with the projections 3 of the rim.
The elastic coil 4 and the inner surface of the casing can come into contact, as has been shown in FIG. 2. There may also be a greater or lesser clearance between these two components.
Between the elastic coil and the casing 6 are placed the air chamber of special section 3, and a rubber mass 9 which, in the example shown, is constituted by a separate part of the air chamber and called "flap ", the chamber and the flap having for example the shape described in Swiss patent no 160320.
The elastic coil constituting one of the main members of the assembly can be hollow or solid. This coil can be made of a single material or of several materials such as, for example, flexible rubber for the outer periphery and rubber or any other flexible material, but more rigid, for the interior. Finally, the part of the flange in contact with the rim can be made of metal or of wood or of hardened rubber.
The coil 4 can be provided with external cuts such as, for example, those shown at 10 in FIG. 5 or even internal cuts or finally both external and internal cuts. Finally, these cuts can pass entirely through the body of the sausage. It is also possible to provide, instead of cuts, cells of any suitable shape. All these provisions are intended to facilitate the mounting of the flange on the rim.
In one embodiment, the coil has an inclined or radial cut, the two ends of the coil. being joined together by metal parts fitting into each other and immobilized, in the closed position, by threaded parts. Moreover, the same members can be used for fixing the flange on the rim, so that using a single threaded part, which will be called the clamping key, the two ends of the flange and absolutely prevent the latter from turning on the rim.
'The notches of the coil may be formed by cutouts in the material of the coil or by gluing or screwing metal parts or any other material, for example canvas and rubber, hardened or felt rubber, etc.
The valve 11, which can be seen in FIG. 2, which passes through the body of the flange, can be placed at any point on the periphery of the wheel. In the example shown, the valve passes to the place where the two ends of the coil are assembled by passing through the clamping key thereof.
In fig. 2, we see at 12 the tube forming part of one of the metal parts 13 used for assembling the ends of the coil, the tube whose outer end passes through a hole 14 drilled in the part 15 fixed to the other end of the black pudding. The two ends of the coil are assembled using a key 16 screwed inside the tube 12. In the example shown, in which the valve passes inside the members 16 and 12, its end can be immobilized using an additional nut 17 placed inside the locking key 16 and screwed onto the valve.
The casing 6 is, as was said above, a casing of the ordinary type on the beads of which notches have simply been provided intended to act in combination with the protrusions of the rim. These notches can be cut in the bead after manufacture of the envelope 6. They can also come from vulcanization and be obtained by fixing suitable parts in the mold. Finally, metal parts can also be glued to the beads, either during the actual vulcanization of the casing, or once the casing is finished.
The rim 1 and the locking 2 may also include special arrangements to facilitate the assembly and disassembly of the various members forming part of the wheel in accordance with the invention. Thus, for example, as seen in FIG. 4, we can see, in 17, 1.8, two disassembly notches in which we engage usual levers. Finally, an inclined clearance can be provided on the rim, as can be seen at 1.9 in FIG. 2, allowing the passage of the valve.
It must also be understood that the invention is in no way limited to the construction methods described and shown, which may undergo numerous modifications of detail, without thereby departing from the spirit of the invention. Thus, for example, in a variant, the mass of rubber 9 is constituted by an extra thickness of the air chamber, this single part being made of a single quality of rubber or of rubber of different qualities. I) e same, to facilitate assembly, we can multiply the number of keys around the safety flange, their number being absolutely indeterminate.
