Arrangement for the control of the grid circles of converters working with grid-controlled vapor or gas discharge paths. When converting devices with at least two groups of grid-controlled steam or gas discharge lines, in particular converters, in which each discharge line works temporarily according to the conditions of the rectifier operation, sometimes according to the conditions of the inverter operation, one often uses several control paths. In the simplest case it will be. Provide a control path for rectifier operation and one for inverter operation.
So far you have used an arrangement to, as illustrated in Fig. 1 of the drawing. The multi-anode discharge vessel 1, which belongs to a converter and always carries the current during one half cycle of the alternating current, must, as is known, be controlled according to the two operating options. Normally, each grid is held at blocking potential by a suitably selected negative bias voltage across resistors 2 and 3. This bias voltage is superimposed on the impulses that enable the discharge to begin.
Assuming for the sake of simplicity that shift drums 5 'and Y "deliver these impulses in conjunction with a direct voltage 6, other shifting elements, for example auxiliary discharge paths, can also be used instead of the shift drums, so the result is that the resistor 2 all Control path is common.
However, such an arrangement is not always advantageous for the operation of converters. While the resistors 2 and 3 can be chosen to be relatively large with rectifier operation without hesitation, there are considerable reservations when using inverters, because in inverter operation it is necessary to free the discharge spaces of the ions as quickly as possible in order to enable control of the grid is ensured. However, this means that the resistors 2 and 3 must be chosen to be very small, which on the other hand has the consequence that the control power for the grid control must be increased considerably.
The present invention now enables an improvement in the operating conditions. According to the invention, special resistances are provided for each control path. An example of the arrangement according to the present invention is shown in Fig. 2 of the drawing, for which otherwise the same reference numerals as in Fig. L are based ge. It can be seen that the resistors 2 'and 3' are assigned to the crossed control path, the resistors 2 "and 3" are assigned to the double-crossed control path.
The invention therefore gives the possibility of maintaining the fairly large resistance values (about 20,000 ohms) for rectifier operation and thus keeping the control power small, whereas in inverter operation by means of sufficiently small dimensioning of the resistors (about 2000 ohms) the necessary control capability of the Ensure grid.
