Device for alternating current to control any electrical quantity. A wide variety of devices are known and in use for regulating electrical variables. For controlling alternating currents such as B. voltage, current, power factor, active or reactive powers are z. B. control relays have been used, which operate the control apparatus via auxiliary relays and one of these switched control motor. When the subject of the invention, a control relay of novel imple mentation is used, which is distinguished from the known relays mainly by a simplicity, universal application, low energy consumption and cheapness.
Its features are that its adjusting element consists of a rotating system taken from a Ferraris counter, whose electrically generated torque counteracts a spring force and whose rotational movement is limited in both directions by a contact device. The drawing shows schematically an embodiment of the invention. The C "xrundelement forms a Ferraris rotating system consisting of two fixed magnetic fields a and a rotating disk b, in which the deflection of the disk b to both sides is caused by the contact pieces stationary in the space c is limited.
To generate a counter-torque, two helical springs d are used, each of which acts on an arm of a double-armed lever e. This lever is fixed adjustable on the counter axis f, which enables the setting of the desired statics of the rotary system and additional bearing pressure is avoided. The normal brake magnet y of the counter system serves as damping. The contact pieces m are designed so that they simultaneously allow the sensitivity of the apparatus to be set. By turning the adjustment dials upwards, the leaf springs k wound onto the drums can be tensioned, as a result of which the contact pieces 7) a exert a greater counterpressure on the stationary stop.
The Ferraris rotating system a, b must develop a correspondingly larger torque for making contact by means of the pin n attached to the disk b , whereby the sensitivity of the control is set in the simplest way and can be read on the scales r. If the turntable b is rotated by the magnet system cc and one of the contact pairs c, na closed, one of the two auxiliary relays c receives voltage and closes its contact q, whereby a control motor, not shown in the drawing, is switched on in one direction or the other .
The two auxiliary relays o are expediently arranged in such a way that the left relay is switched on when the pin n moves to the right and the right auxiliary relay is switched on when the pin n moves to the left. By this measure, a return of the system can be obtained in the simplest way, in which the magnetic armature p attached to the turntable is attracted by the switched on auxiliary relay o in the direction of resetting the rotary system. Operates the rotating system z. B. right contact, the armature p is attracted to the left by switching on the left relay and thereby exerts a feedback force on the system for the duration of the con tact.
By adjusting the distance of the armature p from the auxiliary relay o, the restoring force can be regulated as required.
To switch off the effect of temperature on the control accuracy, the support points of the springs d z. B. by means of bimetallic strips according to the room temperature can be adjusted so that the counter force of the rotary system is changed to the desired extent.
