Description
Window sash stay. The present invention relates to a window sash stay. This is shown in the drawing in three figures, for example.
Fig. 1 shows a front view of the hard steller, Fig. 2 is a plan view and Fig. 3 is a further plan view of the same, but in a different operating position.
The lock shown has the box rail a, which is articulated at an angle piece b by rivets c. The angle piece b is screwed with wood screws d to the lower cross beam e of the window frame in such a way that the free end of the box rail a protrudes slightly beyond the hinge of the window sash. A guide screw - f creates the loose connection between the box rail a and the window sash g . In addition to the guide slot h, the box rail a has a larger number of notches i (transverse slots) so that the window sash can be locked in various positions.
The advantages of this device are that the opening and closing of the window sash is not hindered by the device, rather the box rail is automatically pivoted when the sash is moved. When the window is closed, the device lies below the window sash against the window frame and in no way hampers the window bank, since no parts protrude. A safe fixing of the window sash is guaranteed; that the box rail is always more or less transversely to the window sash, whereby the lock must be established by pressing in one of the notches.
When releasing the device, the guide screw is pulled out of the relevant detent by moving the box rail and the wing can be moved again unhindered.
