Rostreinigungsvorrichtung.
Grate cleaning device. The invention relates to a grate cleaning device, which is an embodiment of the device forming the subject of the main patent and is characterized in that the knives are offset relative to one another in such a way that they are all together in the rest position, but not all at the same time in the Working situation who can.
In the drawing, for example, some embodiments of the subject invention are shown.
Fig.l illustrates a partial longitudinal section through a boiler with a built-in cleaning device; Fig. 2 shows a partial cross-section thereof, but the cleaning device is adjusted compared to Fig. 1; Fig. 3 and 4 represent further execution forms.
According to the embodiment shown in Fig.l and 2, the device consists of a four-sided shaft 1 which is rotatably fastened on the one hand to a bearing 2 in the housing of the air flap 8 and on the other hand to a bearing 3 on the grate plate 6 in the boiler. On this shaft 1 sit loosely attached toothed knives 4, which are held by means of adjusting rings 5 on the side, but have some play on the side to be able to reach through between the grate openings.
To clean the grate and by shaking the material to be fired, a lever 9, which has a square extension 10, is attached to the square shaft 1 and the knives 4 are moved upward between the grate openings by rotary movements.
From Fig. 2 it can be seen that all Mes ser when not in use are disengaged below the grate. Burning them is impossible because they are in the air flow and are constantly being cooled.
The bearing 2 can also be attached to the grate instead of in the housing of the air damper 8. However, a device can also be provided in such a way that the bearing 2 can be supported directly on the floor, so that no structural change, however minor, is required on the boiler.
The bearing 2 can also be designed as a ball bearing 20 (FIG. 3). The shaft 1 is then rotatable, but can be moved up and down at the same time. By moving the handle 21 up and down, the knives 4 engage in the grate.
The grate cleaning device shown in FIG. 4 is provided with at least one rotatable shaft 11 installed below the grate with at least two knives 12, 13 arranged thereon for processing the fuel. The knife can either be brought into the rest position or into the working position by rotating the shaft. These knives are offset relative to one another in such a way that, when the shaft is in the working position, at least one of the knives is out of engagement with the item to be fired.
The knives 12, 13 etc. can for example be arranged so that when the shaft is in the working position, the pair of knives are in engagement, the unpaired are out of engagement, or vice versa. The knife can also be offset spirally when the knife shaft is attached in a ball joint as in Fig. 3. When the shaft is at rest, all knives are disengaged, which means that they are located below the grate in the draft and are protected against oxidation.
The offset of the knife has the advantage that BEZW to rotate the shaft. less force is needed to clean the grate, as not all of the knives are engaged. Furthermore, when the shaft rotates, the material to be fired is shifted from one grate bar to the other, so that no large pieces of slag can form and a better air supply and combustion takes place.
Finally, pieces of slag that have formed between two adjacent knives are rotated or pushed in one direction, then in the other direction, due to non-simultaneous engagement of these knives. As a result, the slag pieces are better and better exposed to the draft leading to complete combustion and finally reduced in size; that they fall down easily between the grate bars.
The working edges of the knives can be at least partially serrated in order to better capture the firing material.
By using the device according to the invention, it is possible to quickly and thoroughly free the grate of all slag and impurities and to provide the air with unimpeded access to the material to be burned for uniform combustion. As a result, a boiler system is thoroughly cleaned in a very short time and kept in a steady fire and the inadequate piercing with a fire spike, which was very time-consuming and tiring, completely obsolete. Since a knife 4 is built into Fig. 1 at the rearmost end of the grate, the furnace can be thoroughly rummaged through to the rear in this case. Tests have shown great savings in time and fuel.
It is of course possible to put a shaft with a different cross-section in place of a square shaft 1 (Fig. 1) and to install the whole device in already existing boiler systems and to adapt the corresponding designs.
In boilers with a wide grate surface, more than one shaft 1 with Wühlmes fibers 4 can be arranged.
Since the boiler is cleaned significantly faster by means of a grate cleaning device according to the invention than with a fire skewer, the risk of oxide poisoning of the heater is significantly reduced.
In large boiler systems, the shaft 1 with the knives 4 can be driven by a motor in order to save personnel and time; which is switched on and off periodically in a known manner.
