Description
Anti-skid device for the wheel tires of motor vehicles. The present invention is an anti-skid device for the wheel tires of motor vehicles, which can be thrown on the market as a result of its simple and practical design at the lowest possible price. In addition, the tread of the wheel tire is extremely spared and any rattling noises are avoided while driving.
The subject matter of the invention is shown in an exemplary embodiment in the accompanying drawing, namely: Fig. 1 is a side view of the anti-skid device mounted on a car wheel over its tire, Fig. 2 is a cross section along the line I-I of FIG.
The anti-skid device shown consists of a rubber jacket, which consists of two circular ring-like side surfaces 1, 2 and these transversely connecting, radially angeordne th, web-like cleats 3 consists. There are recesses 5 between these studs 3. One side surface is interrupted at one point. The resulting ends 6 are provided with a device 7 Spannvorrich. This can consist, for example, of two straps 8 provided with a buckle, by means of which the side surfaces 6 can be drawn together.
With the tensioning device 7 open, the rubber jacket is pushed from the outer side of the wheel over the running surface P, as shown in FIG. 1, so that the rubber jacket engages around the tire like a tongs when viewed in cross section (FIG. 2). The inner edges 9 of the side surfaces 1, 2 are directed against the rim F and are close to this ge moves in order to achieve a far reaching encompassing the tire. The cleats 3 overlap the tread P transversely to the direction of travel. Since the cross-sectional shape of the rubber jacket is adapted to the tire, the rubber jacket clings very well to the tire.
Of course, the subject of the invention can be used for various types and sizes of wheel tires. The invention also enables the use of old tires.
