Drehkolbenver dichter.
Die fortschrittliche Wirkung der in Fig. 1 bis 5 dargestellten Drehkolbenmaschinen besteht einmal in der sehr einfachen Gestal tung der zusammenarbeitenden Teile (Kol ben 3 und 5 und Gehäuse 1, 2), deren Be grenzungsflächen sämtlich einfach und bil lig herzustellende Zylinderflächen sind;
Rotary piston compressor. The invention relates to such known rotary piston compressors, in which in a common housing consisting of two cylindri's parts a working piston of teardrop-shaped profile and a control piston limited by two cylinder surfaces rotate in the same sense of rotation and at the same angular speed work together, with a sealing edge or narrow sealing surface on the working piston and two sealing edges on the control piston 'are effective sam.
The invention consists in the fact that the working piston performs an idling movement in the suction chamber from the point in time at which the expulsion of the working medium to be pumped into the pressure line is ended until the start of the next compression stroke, during which all lie between the piston and the housing wall the rooms are connected to the Saucy room so that no compression can occur in any of these rooms and this lasts until the room is closed by the control piston, working piston and housing,
the contents of which can be pushed out almost completely by the working piston.
In the drawing, the invention is schematically illustrated in four exemplary embodiments, namely the rotary piston machine shown in FIGS. 1 to 4 will first be described.
The housing of the rotary piston machine be consists of two hollow cylindrical housing parts 1 and 2, which penetrate each other and to which a wide suction port 6 and a narrow pressure port 7 connect. In the housing part 1, a working piston 8 is concentric to it about an axis 14 rotatable bar, whose limited by three circular arcs 8, 9 and 10, teardrop-shaped profile from Fig. 1 can be seen and its, gante 4 with ge ringem play up to the wall of Housing part 1 comes close.
Concentric to the housing part 2, a control piston 5 is rotatable about an axis 13. Its profile is limited by two arcs 11, 12. They are equally long among themselves. Radii a, b and c of the cylinder surfaces 9, 10 and 12 emanating from the points z, y, w , as well as the sum of the radii of curvature d and e of the cylinder surfaces 8 and 11 are equal to the distance v - x of the axes 13 and t4. The two pistons 3 and 5 are wedged on their axes so that the plane of symmetry of the working piston 3 in all positions.
which the pistons 3: and 5 occupy each other during the loading, on the connecting plane of the edges 19 and 25 of the control piston 5 is perpendicular (see for example Fig. 2). The cross section of the pressure nozzle 7 is divided by a wall 16, so that a larger and a smaller opening are created that are inevitably controlled by flaps 17 and 18 (for example from the axis of the working piston).
The mode of operation of the rotary piston machine described; which works as a compressor during the uniform rotation of the piston 3, 5 indicated by the arrows, can be seen from FIGS. The medium to be compressed enters the housing through the nozzle 6. From the moment the edge 4 of the working piston 3 passes the point 15 of the housing (Fug. 1) and the gante 19 of the control piston 5 at the penetration edge. 20 of the two housing parts is, the United compression chamber 21 is completed and the compression process begins. It lasts up to the position of the pistons 3, 5 shown in FIG. 2.
At this moment the pressure of the compressed housing contents has reached the desired maximum pressure. The flaps 17 and 18 are then opened and the extension begins. If then. the Kol ben 3, 5 have reached the position shown in Fig. 3,
the flap 17 closes the large opening of the nozzle 7 and the compressed medium located in the space 21 is now pushed out through the opening controlled by the flap 18, except for the small remainder shown in FIG. When the piston position of Fig. 4 is exceeded, the flap 18 is closed, and the small remainder of the compressed medium still in the small, triangular 11.aum 21 (fug. 4) escapes and fizzles out as the piston 3 continues, 5 through the gaps between the piston and the housing wall.
In the now following, approximately 180 amount of idle travel of the pistons 3 and 5 arise between the Kol ben and the housing wall no closed spaces. Rather, all intermediate spaces are connected to the suction nozzle, so that 'as long as no work is done until the edge 4 of the working piston has reached the housing point 15 again and the edge 19 of the control piston has reached the housing point 20. The pistons then resume the position according to FIG. 1, and at this moment the working cycle described above begins anew.
In order to get a larger sealing surface of the working piston 3 against the housing, instead of the edge 4 on the working piston, a narrow cylindrical surface 22 (Fig. 5) can be provided. In this case, the flanks 9a and 10a of the working piston no longer intersect in the edge 4 on the cylinder wall, but only meet outside of the housing 1.
The position of the axes of curvature y and z of the flanks 9 and 10 (Fig. 1) then shifts depending on an old man struck by the pivot point x of the working piston 3 towards y ,, respectively. z '. The radii a1 respectively. b 'of the zy-cylindrical flanks 9a and 10a always remain the same as the distance v-x of the axes of rotation 13; 14 of the working and sealing piston.
As a result of the change in the shape of the working piston 3, the control piston 5 receives a flank composed of two circular cylindrical flank parts 23 and 24 in place of the flank 12, which is circular-cylindrical in the embodiment described first, and whose flank parts according to the radius c around the center points w 'and w2 are curved and 'cut the flank 11 in the control edges 19' and 25 '.
The flank 12 (Fig. 1), or the flanks 23 and 2'4 (Fig. 5) of the control piston do not have the meaning of the flanks 9 and 10 respectively. 9a and l @ 0a of the working piston because they do not necessarily need to be sealed. You could therefore, if special reasons (for example, a relief of the sealing piston) this he should require, also designed differently. However, their shape must not bezw over the shape of the cylindrical surfaces 12. 23, 24 protrude, otherwise the pistons 3 and 5 would not be free from one another.
Against the ganten 19 and 25 respectively. 19 'and 25' as a sealing ganten absolutely keep their shape.
The advanced effect of the rotary piston machines shown in Fig. 1 to 5 consists once in the very simple Gestal device of the cooperating parts (Kol ben 3 and 5 and housing 1, 2), the loading surfaces are all simple and bil lig to be produced cylinder surfaces;
In addition, however, that due to the peculiar cooperation of the two pistons 3 and 5, the subdivision of the outlet connection 7 and the appropriate control of the flaps 17 and 18, the rotary piston machine described has a vanishingly small harmful space in comparison with known proposals, so that the compressed gas is completely pushed out of the compression chamber with every working stroke except for the very last remainder.
Finally, the rotary piston compressors shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 offer the advantage over such known blowers in which a very large working piston of the shape of the working piston described and a very small control piston of the shape of the control piston described work together, that no closed space is created during the idle stroke, in which, as in the known device, part of the medium is first compressed and then uselessly relaxed again.
Instead of the flaps 17, 18, other closing organs, such as rotary valves and the like, can be arranged in the outlet connection, provided that their control corresponds to the same conditions as they have been explained above with reference to the flaps 1.7 and 18.
By allowing two or more working pistons 3 to work together with a common control piston 5 (FIGS. 6 and 7), a good use of space is made possible and saves ge in weight and manufacturing costs.
