Fliehkraftregler.
Centrifugal governor. The invention relates to a centrifugal regulator, in particular for power machines, and consists in the fact that the flyweight rotates around a mainly horizontal axis and is arranged eccentrically to this axis such that the deflections of the flyweight are alternately increased and decreased by gravity .
In contrast to safety regulators, in which the eccentrically arranged centrifugal weight is normally pressed against a stop and therefore cannot move, a pulsating movement of the regulator is caused, where its sensitivity is considerably increased without as usual, a particular restlessness would be necessary.
The drawing shows a schematic representation of an embodiment.
The centrifugal governor 1, which is driven by the shaft 2 of the engine, for example a steam turbine, by means of the screw gear 3, 4, rotates around a horizontal axis 5 and consists of a movable flyweight 6 and a fixed flyweight 7. The latter serves as Mass compensation for the movable centrifugal weight 6 and is dimensioned accordingly. The movable flyweight 6 is arranged to be rotatable about the pin 8 crossing the axis of rotation perpendicularly. His blows are transmitted through the angle lever 25 and the rod 9 on the control slide 10 arranged in the controller axis.
Depending on its position, this connects the space 11 under the power piston 12 either to the pressure medium supply line 13 or to the discharge line 14. A spring 15 also acts on the control slide via 10 as a counterforce to the centrifugal force of the regulator. Since .die centrifugal force of the flyweight 6 as a result of the horizontal arrangement by gravity alternately supported respectively. is impaired, the blows from this flyweight are increased and decreased in rhythm with the speed.
As a result, the control slide 10 also continuously performs a small pulsating movement, so that it cannot get stuck and responds to the slightest change in speed.
The power piston 12 actuates, for example, a steam valve (not shown) through the rod 16, so that this reduces the steam supply when the speed is increased and increases it when the speed is reduced. The linkage 17, 18, 19 and 20, which can be adjusted by the handwheel 21 and the screw 22 for the purpose of changing the speed, serves to return the control slide 10 as a function of the position of the power piston 12.
Instead of this mechanical linkage, a hydraulic linkage could also be provided, as shown in dashed lines, which connects the spaces 21 and 22 and is connected to an oil tank 2'4 through a throttle or a blow-off element 23 known per se The hydraulic linkage then acts as an isodrome return.
Since the control slide 10 must always be in the final position in the steady state, as shown, the flyweight 6 always assumes the same position on average regardless of the load on the machine, so that it is possible to have a good one with all loads To achieve mass balance between the fixed flyweight 7 and the movable 6.
Because the axis of the control slide 10 coincides with that of the controller 1, the friction of the movable members is reduced to a minimum and the controller works properly. The pivot 8 of the movable flyweight 6 can of course also be designed as a cutting edge.
The movable flyweight 6 can also be subdivided into several flyweights distributed on one side around the axis of rotation.
