Description

Timepiece. The object of the present invention is a timepiece in accordance with the claim of the main patent. This part is characterized in that one of the flaps is formed by two superimposed plates and one of which, being able to swing on the other, ends, at its internal end, in a notch intended to engage with a corresponding notch carried by the other flap, and is subjected to the action of a spring tending to keep these notches engaged.

The accompanying drawing represents, by way of example, an embodiment of the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 is a plan view thereof, while FIGS. 2 and 3 are sections through II-II, respectively through III-III of fig. 1.

The timepiece shown comprises a case provided with a caseback 1, a caseband-bezel 2, on which this caseback is hinged, and a casing ring 3 in which the movement 4 is fixed.

The lower flap (in fig. 1 and 2) is formed by two plates 5 and 6 superimposed and the upper one of which can tilt onto the other by the fact that it is hinged, at 7, on the latter. ; this upper plate comprises, at its internal end, a notch 8 intended to cooperate with a notch 9 mounted on the other flap; the notches 8 and 9 tend to remain engaged thanks to the action of a leaf spring 10, arranged in a housing 11 of the plate 6, and which constantly tends to lift towards the outer end of the plate 5 The other shutter is formed from a single piece.

Between the lower face of each flap and the upper face of the caseband-bezel is formed a chamber 11 'in which is housed a wavy leaf spring 12, bearing, on the one hand, against a projection of the bezel and, on the other hand, against a shoulder of said shutter and constantly tending to bring the latter into its opening position.

In fig. 1 and 2 the shutters are closed and held in this position thanks to the notches 8 and 9 engaged one in the other. To open the shutters, it suffices to weigh lightly, with a finger; on the outer end of the plate 5, so as to tilt this plate around the hinge and to lower this .extreme, against the leaf spring 10; notch 8 then rises and disengages from notch 9 and the two flaps, released, open under the action of springs 12.

A screw 13, the end of which is engaged in a groove 14, - prevents each shutter from opening too much.

A great advantage of the above-described construction is that the mechanism for engaging and disengaging the shutters is not apparent.
