Die sonst schädlich hohen Durchflussgeschwindigkeiten an der Abdichtungsstelle sind hiermit ver mieden, und die höchsten Durchflussgeschwin- digkeiten und Abnutzungen sind an eine un schädliche Stelle verlegt, und zwar ist dies hier zum ersten Male völlig auch für die Dauer wirksam, weil die neue plastische Ab- dichtung eine absolute Dichtheit bei Schliess lage ergibt und auf die Dauer gewährleistet;
Die Zeichnung veranschaulicht den Er findungsgegenstand an einer Reihe von Aus führungsbeispielen, und zwar sind Fig. 1, 2 und 3 Längsschnitte verschiedenartiger Ab sperrventile mit der erfindungsgemässen Ab dichtung, Fig. 4, 5 und 6 Teilquerschnitte verschiedenartiger Dichtungsanordnungen, die sich auch für selbsttätige Ventile, zum Bei spiel Steuerventile von Kolbenmaschinen eig nen, Fig. 7 und 8 Schnitt und Ansicht ver schiedenartiger Ventilkörper von Steuerven tilen;
Valve seat sealing, especially for high pressures and temperatures. When sealing mutually movable parts, especially for high temperatures and high pressures, the parts sealing one another are often made as hard as possible, for example the valve seat and the part made of chrome-nickel steel that interacts with one another, and they are ground in. However, these hard parts are warped by thermal stress and the seals become leaky.
Hard cutting edges have also been pressed onto softer seat surfaces, but the soft seat material soon becomes damaged.
The invention creates a particularly durable valve seat seal, in particular for high pressures and temperatures, at which a hard sealing part presses against a flexible sealing part, because the flexible sealing part is made of a plastic metal up to hot steam temperatures, for example copper or suitable iron or plastic alloy stanchions of such metals, and is enclosed except for a free surface by a socket, and that the hard, for example, made of steel or a similar hard material sealing part with a smooth,
not by tanning or cutting interrupted sealing surface, the free surface of the plastic metal part is covered except for an expediently very narrow edge. This ensures that the plastic sealing part always adapts to the hard one, even in continuous operation, in such a way that a perfect seal is obtained even if one part is warped, because the temperature-resistant and enclosed plastic metal protects against cutting or crushing, as well as against soft- or liquid is secured.
Particularly valuable is a design in which the plastic metal is provided in the form of a solid ring that is embedded on three cross-sectional sides in an undercut mounting groove and covered on the fourth side by the hard part.
Loosening and unnecessary changes in shape of the plastic metal are particularly reliably prevented here, so that it is permanently stuck and remains well plastic. With part before rotation of the two sealing parts against each other is ensured by, for example, the seat and plate are secured against relative rotation so that the softer seat part is not constantly required to be re-pressed by an approximately asymmetrically warped valve body.
For the sealing parts made of plastic metal, it is also valuable to embed the socket in such a way that the free surface of the plastic insert recedes somewhat behind the socket. This results in increased security against pulling gutters or similar wear and tear of the plastic insert, since in this case the mass of liquid, vapor or gas flowing through, due to its inertia, flows past the insert without much rubbing. Another design is favorable,
in which the hard sealing part that interacts with the plastic metal is a ring made of particularly hard high-alloy steel. This ensures good resistance to wear and tear and prevents the emergence of dangerous initial leaks that would subsequently expand quickly. It is also of particular advantage if a throttle body is attached to one of the two closing parts having the sealing parts in such a way that, in the area of the small valve openings, the narrowest passage point on the throttle body and thus at a point remote from the actual sealing surfaces (on the side occurs on the harder part or on the version of the plastic metal part).
The otherwise damaging high flow velocities at the sealing point are thus avoided, and the highest flow velocities and wear and tear are relocated to a harmless point, and for the first time this is completely effective for the long term because the new plastic sealing seal results in absolute tightness in the closed position and guaranteed in the long term;
if there is not absolute tightness in the closed position, as has often happened with previous seals, the throttle body is also of no use, because then the leakage point again forms the narrowest passage and expands quickly.
On the one hand, it is particularly advantageous to attach the throttle body to the end part with the hard sealing part, in that the appropriately recessed, ordered plastic part is well protected by its socket, and on the other hand, the throttle body can be placed directly next to the channel that receives the plastic metal , in which case high flow velocities occur only on the harder waterproofing part and are harmless here.
To keep the seat passage opening completely free, the hard part is advantageously inserted into the opening side and the throttle body is designed and arranged in such a way that when the valve is open it lies outside the flow path, thus not disturbing the flow.
The drawing illustrates the subject of the invention from a number of exemplary embodiments, namely Fig. 1, 2 and 3 are longitudinal sections of various types of shut-off valves with the inventive seal, Fig. 4, 5 and 6 partial cross-sections of various seal arrangements that are also suitable for automatic valves , For example, control valves of piston machines, FIGS. 7 and 8 section and view of various valve bodies of control valves;
FIG. 9 is a section through the main part of a piston seat valve with a throttle body, FIG. 10 shows an individual illustration of the sealing parts in the small opening position on a larger scale, FIG. 11 a corresponding section with a large opening, FIG. 12 a section with an analog. Execution with a different throttle body position, Fig. 13, a section of a detail with the throttle body arranged differently.
According to Fig. 1, a Ven tilteller 1 is provided inside a high pressure shut-off valve of the usual type and in this a set ring 2 made of plastic copper or iron or another plastic metal (alloy), which temperatures up to superheated steam (so usually up to about < B> 500 '</B> C) remains sufficiently firm.
The seat 3 worked out in the valve bridge consists, as usual, of relatively hard cast iron or cast steel. The plastic insert ring 2 is enclosed by its mount and the harder seat 3 except for an edge which is expediently chosen as narrow as possible. Guide ribs 4 of the valve disk. 1 are guided in grooves in the valve body neck 5 in such a way that rotation of the plate is prevented and thus the same seat positions that have been adapted to one another always come into contact with one another.
A valve cover 6 is flanged on with a sealing ring 7 in between. A normal, soft ge packed stuffing box 8 lets the valve spindle through.
In FIG. 2, a high-pressure shut-off valve is shown again, but in which the shut-off element is a piston 1 '. The piston BE is here made of hard steel, and the pla-elastic sealing ring 2 is inserted in the valve bridge 3. For sealing to the outside, the piston 1 'is surrounded by sealing rings 9 with the interposition of one or more Ab stand rings 10, and these rings are defined by a cover 6, which is clamped by a conventional screw connection 11 similar Lich as with stuffing boxes.
In Fig. 3, a similar to Fig. 2 high pressure shut-off valve with piston 1 'is provided. The piston is not made of particularly hard material and in turn contains the plastic metal insert 2 cooperating with the hard seat 3. It contains sealing rings 12 for external sealing, in a tapered parts for the purpose of reducing the closing force.
In Fig. 4 it is shown how a valve plate BEZW. the movable body 1 of a double seat valve contains the plastic metal ring recessed so that a steam or liquid flow passing through with little geöff netem valve hits the insert ring 2 with as little friction as possible, but rather as good as a straight line between the cantilevered socket parts past the ring 2 flows. To largely secure its tightness, the insert ring 2 is not only stamped with an undercut, but also with an additional dovetail shape.
In Fig. 5 basically the same application is present, but in the seat 3 a special insert ring 13 made of hard steel, for example chromium nickel steel, is introduced so that this protruding part is particularly wear-resistant and the plastic metal ring 2 always fits tightly can get.
According to FIG. 6, in the case of a poppet valve adapted to the streamlined shape as much as possible, the poppet 1 is made of hard material, and a plastic metal insert ring is attached in the conical seat 3 so that it disturbs the smooth flow path as little as possible.
According to FIG. 7, the equipment of its movable valve body with rings 2 for a double seat valve is illustrated in a manner analogous to that in FIGS. 4 and 5, while FIG. 8 shows the same for the valve body of a poppet valve.
According to FIGS. 9 to 11, the valve piston 21 contains a seat ring 22 made of plastic metal, inserted recessed, and this seat ring is wedged into the piston 21 with a dovetail-like cross section that has been turned with an undercut.
In the Ven tilbrücke 2,3 is a hard seat ring 24, for example made of stainless steel, inserted inside on the seat passage opening side, where it engages with its sealing surface in the annular groove of the piston 21 and sits on the plastic metal ring 22 in this. Around the seat ring 24 and in the position according to FIG. 9 around the lower end of the piston 21, a throttle ring 25 is attached to the valve bridge 23 in such a way that it engages the piston 21 at a small distance <B> 26 </B> encloses.
The dimensions for small to large valves are approximately as follows: gap width of 26: 0.2-0; 3 mm, countersinking of the soft metal ring 22; 1 to 3.5 mm, height 27 of the throttle ring 25: about 8-15 mm.
If this valve according to FIG. 10 is opened by a distance 28, then initially only the annular gap 26 'is released, and high flow rate occurs only in this, while between or. At the sealing parts 22, 24 a much lower flow rate corresponding to the stroke 2.8 arises. The wear and tear is thus relocated from the seat to the edge of the throttle body 25, where it is harmless, and in particular the "plastic metal ring 22" has the greatest service life and operational reliability.
Even with a further opening stroke (FIG. 11), the flow velocity at the plastic sealing part always remains relatively low, and the throttle body does not interfere with the flow.
According to FIG. 12, the throttle ring 25a is attached to the valve piston. The effect changes essentially nothing, only here the protection of the plastic's metal ring 22 is even more perfect.
According to FIG. 13, the throttle ring 25b is again attached to the valve piston 21, namely within the hard ring 24. The effect here is the same as in the front of the device according to FIG. 12, only here the height is reduced because the throttle ring in the seat opening of the bridge it stretches.
The seat seal according to the invention can be carried out with the same success as for flat seats, also for tapered seats (see Fig. 6), and these designs are not only applicable to poppet valves, but also to flap valves with a swinging flap or to slide valves which the slide partially pushes and partially a swinging movement against the seat.
