Description

       

  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines wasserunlöslichen     Azofarbstoffes.       Gegenstand dieses Zusatzpatentes ist ein  Verfahren zur Darstellung eines wasserunlös  lichen     Azofarbstoffes,    das dadurch gekenn  zeichnet ist, dass man die     Diazoverbindung     von     m-Chloranilin    mit Terephtaloyl-bis-essig       säure-l-amino-4-chlor-2-methoxy-5-methylben-          zol    kuppelt. Die Einwirkung der beiden Kom  ponenten aufeinander kann auch in Gegen  wart eines Substrates erfolgen.  



  Der in Substanz hergestellte     Farbstoff     bildet ein     grünstichig    gelbes Pulver; die Fär  bungen besitzen einen lebhaften,     grünstichig     gelben Farbton und sind sehr gut lichtecht.  <I>Beispiel:</I>  <B>53,3</B>     gr        Terephtaloyl    -bis -     essigsäure    -1  amino-4-chlor-2-methogy-5-methylbenzol wer  den in 100     emu    doppelt normaler Natron  lauge und Wasser heiss gelöst.

   Diese Lösung  läuft zu einer wie folgt bereiteten     Diazo-          lösung    : 25,6     gr        m-Chloranilin    werden mit  52 cm' Salzsäure von 22       B6    und 14,4     gr          Natriumnitrit    unter Eiszusatz wie üblich     dia-          zotiert    und mit     Natriumacetat    auf Kongo  neutralität abgestumpft.    Die     Farbstoffbildung    ist nach mehrstün  digem     Nachrühren    beendet. Man saugt ab,  wäscht gut mit Wasser und trocknet.  



  Man erhält ein     grünstichig    gelbes Pulver.  Die Darstellung des Farbstoffes kann auch  in Gegenwart eines Substrates erfolgen. Wird  der Farbstoff auf der Faser erzeugt, so er  hält man einen sehr lichtechten, lebhaften,       grünstichig    gelben Farbton.

The subject of this additional patent is a process for the preparation of a water-insoluble azo dye, which is characterized in that the diazo compound of m-chloroaniline with terephtaloyl-bis-acetic acid-l-amino-4-chloro-2-methoxy-5-methylbene - zol couples. The action of the two components on one another can also take place in the presence of a substrate.



  The dye produced in substance forms a greenish yellow powder; the colors have a lively, greenish yellow hue and are very lightfast. <I> Example: </I> <B> 53.3 </B> gr terephtaloyl-bis-acetic acid -1 amino-4-chloro-2-methogy-5-methylbenzene are mixed in 100 emu of double normal sodium hydroxide and Hot water dissolved.

   This solution runs into a diazo solution prepared as follows: 25.6 g of m-chloroaniline are diazotized as usual with 52 cm 2 of hydrochloric acid of 22 B6 and 14.4 g of sodium nitrite with the addition of ice and blunted to Congo neutrality with sodium acetate. The dye formation is complete after several hours of stirring. It is suctioned off, washed well with water and dried.



  A greenish yellow powder is obtained. The preparation of the dye can also take place in the presence of a substrate. If the dye is produced on the fiber, it is kept in a very lightfast, lively, greenish yellow color.

PATENT CLAIM: Process for the preparation of a water-insoluble azo dye, characterized in that the diazo compound of m-chloroaniline is coupled with terephtaloyl-bis-acetic acid 1- amino -4-chloro-2-methoxy-5-methylbenzene. The dye produced in substance forms a greenish yellow powder; the colors have a lively, greenish yellow hue and are very lightfast.
