Elektrokessel.
Electric boiler. The invention relates to an electric boiler with a subdivided boiler room and enables the evaporation rate, that is to say, the amount of fuel generated per kilowatt hour, to be varied within wide limits depending on the load on the boiler and the respective electricity tariff, so that for Example during the high tariff period and) if the boiler is heavily loaded with a high steam rate,
Since the liquid heated to boiling point only needs to be supplied with the heat of evaporation. During the low tariff period, on the other hand, and with little steam drawn off, feed liquid can be introduced and thus the evaporation rate can be reduced accordingly without increasing the operating costs significantly.
The invention consists in that of two partial spaces through which the liquid content of the boiler constantly flows during operation, one is designed as a heating space with unchangeable liquid content, the other as a storage space with variable liquid content, alternately one time preheating the feed liquid in the heating space and is introduced into the storage space, the other time liquid is removed from the storage space and used for evaporation. The sub-spaces can be connected to one another in such a way that the vapor pressure is the same in all sub-spaces.
Two embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown schematically in the drawing.
Fig. 1 relates to a lying, Fig. 2 to a standing electric boiler.
The boiler 1 in Fig. 1 is divided by a partition 2 into two sub-spaces 3 and 4, which are on the one hand by the overflow 5, on the other hand by a line 6 provided with a circulation pump 7 to mitein other. The subspace 4 is provided with a heating device 9, 10 which is used to generate the steam. The subroom @ 3 is only used as a heat store. Advantageously, the partial space or heating space 4 provided with the heating device is selected to be as small as possible so that the storage space 3 has a storage capacity that is all the greater for the given boiler dimensions.
The heating device consists on the one hand of the electrode 9, whose power supply line 11 is insulated through the boiler wall, and on the other hand of the counter electrode 10, which is formed as a metal cylinder, and is in direct contact with the boiler 1. Between the two electrodes 9 and 10 there is a Por zellanrohr 12, which improves the flow along the heating device and prevents the formation of vapor bubbles.
The operation of the device is as follows: The Timwä.lz- pnmpe 7, driven by the motor 8, conveys at least as much liquid, for example water, from the storage space 3 through the line 6 to the heating i '-, - to 4 than can be vaporized ver by the heater. Any excess water flows back through the overflow 5 back into the storage space.
Ge according to the drawing is to be evaporated or. The liquid to be circulated is introduced into the heating space 4 through a nozzle 14 (let it flow in front of the electrode 9 and thereby improve the cooling of this electrode.
The resulting steam collects in the steam chamber 15 of the boiler and is fed through line 16 to the points of consumption. The boiler is conveniently fed by a special pump, not shown, which promotes the feed water either through the nozzle 17 in the storage space or through the nozzle 17 'in the boiler room of the electric. At the time of the high electricity tariff, for example during the day, there is no feed at all.
So only the hot water stored in the storage space comes to evaporation, whereby the water level in the storage space bi can sink into position 18. At the time of the cheap electricity tariffs, for example during the night, during which usually no steam is consumed, the feed pump is put into operation and again fills the storage space of the boiler up to the highest permissible water level 19.
At the same time, the water is circulated by the circulation pump 7 and brought to the temperature corresponding to the steam pressure required, for example 150, in the boiler room, so that enough hot water is again available for the new high tariff period. To check the filling ' en: A water level indicator 20 is provided in the storage space.
In Fig. 2, corresponding parts are provided with the same reference numerals as in FIG. 1. The liquid is conveyed by the circulating pump 7 from the storage space 3 into the heating space 4, which is formed by a small, open-topped boiler within the main boiler 1. The excess water overflows from the small boiler 4 and flows back into the storage space. The small boiler 4 is held by the supports 21 and can be adjusted to different heights. In this design of the electric boiler there is the advantage that the electrode 9, which is set from above, does not need to reach far down and still remains under water.
Accordingly, only little space is required for removing the electrode.
To simplify operation, the circulating pump 7 could also serve as a feed pump, for example in that, in the case of a multi-stage design of the pump, the liquid to be circulated would be introduced into an upper stage and the feed liquid into the first stage of the pump.
In the case of the boilers described, a safety device, not shown in the drawing, is expediently provided, through which the current to the electrodes is inevitably switched off as soon as the circulation pump stops or as soon as the water level in the boiler room has dropped below a certain level . When the oil circulating pump or When the required water level is reached in the boiler room, the current to the electrodes can be switched on again by the safety device.
The safety device can also be used, depending on the water level, to switch the feed pump or another delivery device used for feeding on or off. This will prevent the electrodes from burning.
Of course, the heating chamber could also be formed by a boiler on its own outside the main boiler 1 and connected to the storage space i by appropriate lines. Furthermore, devices can be provided for changing the power by moving the electrodes or the porous tube.
By the invention, in addition to the cheaper operation due to the extensive use of cheap night electricity, an increase in the over load capacity of the boiler is achieved, since using the aufgespeichei th amount of heat with a given current strength a larger amount of steam can be generated.
