Dans les montres habituelles, le mouve ment repose, en général, sur tout le pourtour supérieur du cercle d'-encageage;dans la mon tre représentée, au contraire, le mouvement 4 repose, grâce à :
deux épaulements 5, sur les deux parties 6 du cercle d'encageage, situées aux deux extrémités de l'axe longitudinal de la montre. Entre ces deux parties 6, le pour tour supérieur,du cercle présente deux échan crures 7, de façon qu'à ces endroits le bord supérieur de ce cercle est plus bas. qu'en 6;
les parties du pourtour .du mouvement adja centes à ces échancrures 7 sont fraisées d'un biseau 8, et le haut @de la lunette présente, au- dessus .des, biseaux, -des pans inclinés 9 qui la rendent plus étroite et,qui donnent l'illu sion que la montre toute entière est moins large qu'en réalité.
Bien entendu, l'invention n'est pas limi tée à ce qui est représenté au dessin; les bi seaux 8, par exemple, pourraient, .en sec tion droite, être concaves ou convexes ou être remplacés par une rainure en angle :droit 10 (fig. â); au lieu -d'être rectilignes -dans le sens longitudinal, ils pourraient être cintrés;
quant au cercle -d'encageage, il pourrait être en plusieurs pièces, par exemple deux pour les bouts de la montre, destinés à porter le mouvement et,deux autres pour les longs cô tés. Ce cercle ou l'une .de -ses parties pourrait être venu d'une pièce avec le fond qui pour rait également être un fond à :charnière.
