Schalldämpfer für Feuerwaffen. Den Gegenstand vorliegender Erfindung bildet ein Schalldämpfer für Feuerwaffen, der sich durch eine an die Mündung des Waffenlaufes aufzusetzende Kammer kenn- zeichnet, die durch Zwischenwände in meh rere einzelne Zellen unterteilt ist, wobei diese Zwischenwände eine dem Projektil entspre chende Öffnung aufweisen.
Auf der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsfarm .des Erfindungsgegenstan des zur Darstellung gebracht, und es zeigt: Fig. 1 eine schematische Darstellung eines Dämpfers mit senkrecht zur Schussbahn ge stellten Zwischenwänden, Fig. 2 den Grundriss einer Zwischenwand, und Fig. 3 eine schematische Darstellung eines Dämpfers mit in spitzem Winkel zur Schuss- bahn gerichteten Zwischenwänden.

Diese Zwischenwände b, sowie der Absch-lussdeckel der Kammer a weisen je eine in ein und derselben Achse liegende Öffnung f auf, die nur ganz wenig .grösser als das Kaliber des Projektils ist. c ist ein an der Kammer a angebrachter, mit einem Innengewinde versehener Ansatz, in welchen der mit einem zu diesem Innengewinde kor respondierenden Gewinde versehene Waffen lauf d eingeschraubt wird.
Das Anbringen der Kammer a am Waffenlauf könnte aber auch auf eine andere Weise, beispielsweise vermittelst eines sogenannten Bajonettver schlusses erfolgen. e bezeichnet das Korn der Waffe, das in keiner Weise von der Kam mer<I>a</I> behindert ist. Die Zwischenwände<I>b</I> in der Kammer a können, wie -die Fig. 1 und 3 zeigen, verschiedenartig angeordnet sein.
Nach Fig. 1 stehen sie senkrecht zur Schussbahn, während sie nach Fig. 3 schief zu derselben gerichtet sind, und zwar derart, dass der spitze Winkel, der dabei .gebildet wird, nach dem Waffenlauf hin zeigt.
Wie Versuche gezeigt und bewiesen haben, wird der durch die Detonation hervor- gerufene Schall, bezw. die Schallwellen. an den vielen Zwischenwänden .gebrochen und gelangt nunmehr ganz gedämpft ins Freie, derart, dass, auf eine Distanz von 50 Metern vom Knallzentrum weg, der Schuss kaum mehr vernommen wird.

The partition walls <I> b </I> in the chamber a can, as FIGS. 1 and 3 show, be arranged in various ways.
According to FIG. 1, they are perpendicular to the trajectory, while according to FIG. 3 they are directed obliquely to the same, in such a way that the acute angle that is formed in the process points towards the barrel of the weapon.
As experiments have shown and proven, the sound caused by the detonation, resp. the sound waves. broken on the many partition walls and now comes out completely muffled, so that, at a distance of 50 meters from the center of the blast, the shot is barely heard.
