Measuring instrument for registering physical quantities. When registering physical quantities, in principle, the following procedure has hitherto been used: that the physical quantity was recorded either graphically or numerically on a recording strip.
In the case of recording measuring devices with a graphical recording of the physical quantity on a recording strip, the recording immediately gives a clear picture of the temporal course of the physical quantity, which is found to be very advantageous. One drawback of these devices, however, is the fact that both the recording and reading accuracy leave something to be desired. The cause of the recording errors is probably mainly the recording paper that is used. First of all, this recording paper has the bad property of being hygroscopic.
It will therefore expand differently depending on the moisture content, so that records that do not match the measured size are obtained. Secondly, a source of error can also be caused by an inaccurate or damaged perforation of the recording paper, which results in an inaccurate recording causing displacement of the recording paper in the transverse direction.
Furthermore, the existing setting and guiding elements of the registration paper do not guarantee that the zero line of the registration paper always moves exactly in the required direction. These deviations from the prescribed path, which are always conceivable despite the good construction of the measuring apparatus, naturally also give rise to recording errors.
With regard to the reading accuracy of the graphic recording on the recording strip, it should be said that when the size of the recorded values is determined by different people, one usually does not get the same results, but rather different results.
In the case of recording measuring devices with numerical imprint of the physical size on the recording strips, such as those under the name. "Printometer" have become known, the measurement accuracy is at least as high as that of the graphic registration measuring devices. Reading inaccuracies are here, there, yes.
in periodic time segments the physical quantity in numbers is printed on the registration strip, absolutely unthinkable. A disadvantage of the printometer, however, is that an overview of the entire physical quantities measured in the individual time periods cannot be readily identified from the numbers printed on the recording strips.
In systems where a particularly high level of measurement accuracy and an immediately recognizable clarity of the entire measurement data are required, a graphic recording device and a print meter could be provided. Although the sum of the effects of the two different recording devices is achieved here, this should not turn out to be very economical; because such measuring devices are still relatively expensive today due to the precise bar type.
In addition to other inconveniences, such a system also has the disadvantage that since the graphical and numerical recording of the physical quantity takes place on separate recording strips; an immediate numerical recording of the graphic records is not possible.
The invention now relates to a measuring instrument for registering physical quantities, in which means according to the invention are provided, by means of which both a graphic and, in periodic time segments, a numerical recording of the physical quantity on a registration strip is effected.
The registration instrument can now be provided with two registration devices which are intended for graphic and numerical recording and are controlled by the measuring system, and with a periodically actuated printing device which produces at least the numerical recording on the registration strip.
If the metering instrument is to be designed in the manner of a maximum consumption meter, then advantageously two registration devices determined for the graphic and the numerical recording and controlled by the measuring system, one for the two different recordings on the registration strip,
periodically actuated printing device and a reset device which returns the two recording devices to the zero position at the end of the registration period. Preferably, the pressure and the reset device can be controlled by an auxiliary motor to relieve the measuring system.
The invention therefore creates a measuring instrument which combines the advantages of a graphic recording apparatus and a printometer in one apparatus. Such a combined recording therefore shows a clear graphic image of the recorded physical quantities and also the immediate numerical recording of the graphic recordings corresponding to the physical quantities.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the invention for illustration is brought ge.
1 shows a schematic representation of a periodically registering measuring instrument, namely an electrical maximum consumption meter; FIGS. 2 and d each show a part of two registration strips provided with a graphic and numerical record. , The snail 1 one.
The electricity meter is in engagement with a gear 3 loosely seated on an axis 2, which is furthermore coupled by the friction of the spiral spring d to a pinion 7 which is also loosely seated on the axis 2 and in engagement with a gear 6 is. One sun gear 8 is fixedly connected to the gear 6 and the other sun gear 9 with a gear 11 which is in engagement with a gear 10 of a differential gear.
A planetary gear 12 of the differential gear is seated on a web axle 13 which is attached to a planetary axle 14 trailing the sun gears 8, 9.
A registration roller 15 is connected to the planetary axis 14, a part of the circumference of which forms an elevated surface 16, wound in a helical manner, by means of a step, and a gear 17 is attached to its right end face.
To the left of the registration roller 15 a counter 18 is provided, of which the Zah lenrolle 19, 20, 21 loosely on the planetary axis 14 and the two ratchet wheels 22, 23 loosely rotatable on an axis 24 between the number rollers 19, 20, 21 are arranged. Fixed to the axis 24 are a gear 26 coupled to a pinion 25 of the number roller 21 and a gear 27 coupled to the gear 17 verbun the. The translations of the gears 17, 27 and 25, 26 are 1:10. The Verdre liung of the counter 18 and thus also that of the registration roller 15 is limited by a stop 28 working together on the number roller 19 pin 29 be.
The gearwheel 10, which is in engagement with the gearwheel 11 and loosely arranged on an axis 30, is coupled via a friction spring 31 to a gearwheel 32 which is actuated by a return motor via a gear (not shown). Here, the gear between the restoring motor and the gear 32 is designed in such a way that the gear 32 is only rotated in unidirectional rotations after a certain number of revolutions of the motor.
The restoring motor is also still in engagement with a gear 33 via a gear mechanism, which is likewise not shown, on which a connecting rod 35 connected to a pressure device 34 is articulated. The printing device 34 consists essentially of a printing element 36 and an ink ribbon 39 guided over rollers 37, 38.
In the printing element 36, the part lying opposite the registration roller 15 is now a ruler-like narrow edge 40 and the part lying opposite the counter 18 is formed into a widening 41 corresponding to the size of the numbers on the number rollers 19, 20, 21.
A registration strip 42 is located between the pressure element 36 and registration roller 15, as well as the counter 18, preferably at a short distance from the recording roller 15 and the counter 18.
At the beginning of a registration period, the beginning of the surface 16 of the registration roller 15 lies opposite the ruler-like edge 40 of the pressure element 36. The registration k3 15 is then driven by the worm 1 of the counter via the gears 3, 7, 6, the sun gear 8 and the planet gear 12 depending on the consumption of energy.
In the position shown in the figure; So the counter has already rotated the registration roller 15 by part. Furthermore, the gear 17 of the registration roller 15 will rotate the gear 27, whereby the counter 18 is set in motion via the gears 26, 25.
At the end of a period of time, every hour, every hour, the auxiliary motor is automatically switched on by a switching clock, which then first rotates the gear 33 that actuates the printing device 34. The pressure element 36 is then moved against the registration roller 7 5 and the counter 18 and finally the ink ribbon 39 and the registration strip 42 are pressed against the registration roller 15 and the counter 18.
On the registration strip 42, a line is then pressed from the right, which corresponds to the ge at the moment of pressing the longitudinal edge 40 of the pressure member 36 opposite extension of the surface 16 in the horizontal direction. Furthermore, on the left of the registration strip 42, the numbers of the counter 18 currently opposite it are also printed.
After the pressure member 36 has returned to its rest position, or even during the backward movement of the pressure member 36, the latter is set in rapid revolutions as a result of the special coupling already mentioned be between the motor and gear 32. The revolutions of the gear 32 are then transmitted via the gear 10, 11, the sun gear 9 and the planet gear 12 to the planetary shaft 14, and now this moves in the opposite direction than before and with a greater than that of the counter outgoing speed. The registration roller 15 and the counter 18 are then rotated back to their zero position.
In the zero position of the register roller 15 and the counter 18, the pin 29 of the number roller 19 rests against the stop 28. The motor then only runs for a very short time, due to the friction clutch between pinion 10 and gear 32 only empty continue. As soon as the motor comes to a standstill, it takes place again. an adjustment of the registration roller 15 and the counter 18 from the screw 1 of the counter.
The Fig. \ ?. shows part of a register strip, the recordings of which originate from a registration apparatus shown in FIG. On the registration strip, the numbers on the left indicate the time, the numbers next to these indicate the amount of energy consumption and the horizontal lines the graphical representation of energy consumption.
It is of course not absolutely necessary to effect the graphical recording in the manner as it is achieved by a registration measuring apparatus shown in FIG. Instead of printing the line corresponding to the physical size on the recording strip, such a line could also be achieved by writing. The registration roller would then have to be replaced by a writing device that is generally used in recording apparatus.
It is also conceivable to design the recording instrument in such a way that not a periodic, but a continuous, permanent graphic recording of the physical quantity is effected, as is usually the case, for example, with barometer and temperature recording. The recording device for the graphic recording could then be in the manner of a curve recorder. be formed from, wherein the numbers of the register counter are periodically printed on the registration strip by a printing device. A special reset device would of course be omitted here.
In such a Re registration instrument, a recording is then obtained on the registration strip, as can be seen from the registration strip shown in FIG. The graphic recording could furthermore also be achieved by a registration device which effects a point-like recording on the registration strip. Of course, other versions of registration devices are also conceivable.
The invention is not only limited to the registration of specific physical quantities, but it also extends quite generally to the registration of any physical quantity that can be measured in any way.
