Bindemittel an Stroh-, Schilf- und dergleichen blatten. Es sind Stroh-, Schilf und dergleichen Matten bekannt geworden, die einerseits mit Schnüren, anderseits mit Draht oder Draht seilen gebunden werden, wobei im letzteren Falle die Bindung aus zwei Drähten bezw. Drahtseilen besteht, welche um einzelne Bün del des Bindegutes geschlungen und mitein ander verwunden werden, so dass die ganze Matte durch zwei ununterbrochene Drähte beziehungsweise Drahtseile zusammengehalten wird.
Bei der ersten Ausführung besteht der Nachteil, dass die Schnüre Feuchtigkeit aufnehmen und deshalb nicht nur selbst rasch zerfallen, sondern auch an der Bindestelle im Bindegut faulende Stellen entstehen, wel che die Lebensdauer der Matte erheblich verkürzen. Bei der Bindung mit ununter brochenen Drähten oder Drahtseilen hat sich gezeigt, dass dieselben an der Stelle, wo sie zusammengewunden sind, durch das öftere Zusammenrollen der Matte nach kurzer Zeit brechen, zerfallen und dann unbrauchbar werden. Diesen Nachteilen abzuhelfen und dadurch die Lebensdauer der Matten zu erhöhen, ist Zweck vorliegender Erfindung.
Gemäss der selben besitzt das Bindemittel einzelne Stücke bildende Schlaufen, mit denen Bündel des Bindeguten gebunden sind, wobei diese Schlau fen kettenartig ineinandergreifen.
Auf der Zeichnung ist eine beispielsweise Ausführungsform des Erfindungsgegenstandes zur Darstellung gebracht uud es zeigt Fig.l einzelne zum Bindemittel inein- andergefügte Schlaufen, Fig. 2 den Grundriss einer gebundenen Matte.
Mit a ist das Bindegut bezeichnet, das aus Stroh, Schilf, Bambus, Holzstäbchen etc. bestehen kann und das zu einzelnen Bündeln gebunden wird. Das Bindemittel besteht zweckmässigerweise aus Draht, der gegen das Rosten durch galvanisieren geschützt ist. Dieses Bindemittel ist aus einzelne Stücke bildenden Schlaufen oder Gliedern b zusam mengesetzt, mit denen Bündel des Bindegutes gebunden sind. Die Enden der Schlaufen oder Glieder werden jeweils bei Herstellung einer Matte bei c miteinander verwunden und nachher, ösenartig nach aussen umgebogen.
Durch diese Anordnung greifen die Schlaufen kettenartig ineinander und bilden durch An einanderreihen eine Kette beziehungsweise eine ganze Matte, die allen mechanischen Anforderungen beim Rollen, überhaupt beim Gebrauch der Matte standhält und Brüche im Bindemittel ausschliesst. Das Umschlin gen der Bündel und Verwinden des Binde mittels, sowie die Herstellung der ketten artigen Verbindung erfolgt zweckmässiger weise auf mechanischem Wege.

In the first embodiment there is the disadvantage that the cords absorb moisture and therefore not only disintegrate quickly themselves, but also rotting spots occur at the binding point in the binding material, which shorten the life of the mat considerably. In the case of binding with uninterrupted wires or wire ropes, it has been shown that the same break, disintegrate and then become unusable at the point where they are wound together due to the frequent rolling of the mat. The purpose of the present invention is to remedy these disadvantages and thereby increase the service life of the mats.
According to the same, the binding agent has loops forming individual pieces with which bundles of the binding material are bound, these loops interlocking like a chain.
An exemplary embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is shown in the drawing, and FIG. 1 shows individual loops interposed to form a binding agent, and FIG. 2 shows the outline of a bound mat.
A denotes the binding material, which can consist of straw, reeds, bamboo, wooden sticks, etc. and which is tied into individual bundles. The binding agent expediently consists of wire that is protected against rusting by electroplating. This binder is composed of individual pieces forming loops or links b, with which bundles of the binding material are bound. The ends of the loops or links are twisted together at c when making a mat and then bent outwards like an eyelet.
With this arrangement, the loops interlock in a chain-like manner and, by lining them up, form a chain or a whole mat that withstands all mechanical requirements when rolling, and when using the mat, and prevents breaks in the binding agent. The wrapping of the bundles and twisting of the binding means, as well as the production of the chain-like connection, is expediently done mechanically.
