Securing for screw nut bolts. The subject of the present invention relates to a securing device for screw nut bolts, in which the self-loosening of a nut is prevented with the aid of a lock nut, in that the nut is arranged on a bolt with a right-hand thread, while the lock nut sits on a bolt with a left-hand thread whose outer thread diameter is at most as large as the core diameter of the bolt with a right-hand thread,
so that the right-hand thread nut cannot loosen without tightening the left-hand thread jam nut.
The innovation is that of the two end faces of the two nuts that come into contact, one is spherical and the other is conical.
In the drawing, an embodiment example of the subject invention is shown by a longitudinal section. The well-known screw locking by means of nut and (t'egen nut is not reliable in all cases, because it can happen that with a certain wear of the thread, the two nuts screwed together come loose out of negligence, both nuts are tightened together with one and the same wrench handle.
The present invention is intended to be an improvement in that, due to the different threads and the shape of the surfaces that come into contact, loosening the nut would only result in increased tightening of the lock nut and never both nuts can be tightened with the same wrench grip.
According to the drawing, the two plates 1 and? held together by the screw bolt 3, and for this purpose the bolt has a right-hand thread part for the nut 5 as the actual holding organ and a left-hand thread part 6 for the locking, that is, lock nut 7, the outer thread diameter of which is at most equal to the core diameter of the right-hand thread part. This makes the screw locking device self-locking.
In order to prevent the locking nut from turning loose, the facing surfaces of the two nuts should be designed instead of flat so that their contact is as close as possible to the outer edges of the nuts. The upper end face of the nut 5 is therefore spherical, while the lower end face of the counter inutter 7 is conical. For the securing to be effective, it is also necessary that the boundary point 8 between right-hand and left-hand threads always remains out of contact with the locking nut 7.
