Elektrisch gesteuertes Anzeigewerk.
Fig. 1 bis 3 zeigen in Seitenansicht. Vor deransicht und Draufsicht eine erste Aus führungsform; Fig. 4 und 5 stellen eine zweite Aus führungsform, in Seitenansicht und Drauf sicht dar; Fig. 6, 7 und 8 zeigen Beispiele von die Aufschriften tragenden Bändern;
Electrically controlled indicator. The present invention is an electrically controlled display mechanism in which the designations to be displayed are arranged on a rotating, endless belt. According to the invention, the endless belt is now placed over a drum and is switched upstream step by step with this.
To drive the drum that takes the endless belt, an electromagnetic ratchet mechanism or an electric motor can be provided.
In the accompanying drawings, some embodiments of the subject invention are shown as an example.
1 to 3 show in side view. Before the view and plan view, a first imple mentation form; 4 and 5 show a second imple mentation, in side view and plan view; Figures 6, 7 and 8 show examples of tapes bearing the labels;
9 to 11 illustrate in front and side views, respectively. in section an embodiment of a time display mechanism; Fig. 12 shows schematically the display mechanism according to Fig. 9 to 11, switched into an electrical clock network; 13 to 16 are three Ausführungsbei games in which the tape is connected upstream by means of an electric motor.
In the embodiment shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, a shaft a carries a drum T and a ratchet wheel b, which is actuated by the switch lever d attached to the solenoid armature c. The drum and ratchet are firmly connected and sit loosely on the shaft. The electromagnetic armature c is mounted to swing on an axis e and is driven by a spring f </ I which is attached to the armature and with its frP: en 1: n (13 on a pin i > held in the rest position indicated in FIG. 1.
The pins i, lc and l are pillars that connect the housing plates m and n. The drum T, which with the help of the switching mechanism b, d and the electromagnet E in the direction of the arrow is switched in front, is chosen in its diameter so that the endless, over this drum T and two Guide rollers Bi and Bz guided band B which bears the numbers 0 to 9 (Fig. 2 and 3) for one revolution of the drum is preceded by exactly a certain number of numbers.
This happens in such a way that with each excitation of the electromagnet E the band d> ge >> au protrudes by the distance of two numbers from each other.
An electric light source L allows the visible part of the strip lying on the left in FIG. 1 to be illuminated from behind. that the figures that appear behind a window are far. are better visible. If the numbers are projected enlarged onto a frosted glass disc, between the light source L and translucent tape B, as well as on the front of the number tape, similar to the Fig. 4 described below, the lenses necessary for the pro jection speed without difficulty appropriate. will.
In order to have control over the position of the numbers in the window at any time, a contact device is provided which consists of a gear o firmly connected to the drum, a gear q attached to the axis p and meshing with the wheel o and one on the Shaft p consists of fixed contact disk r with eleven radial arms. The ten short arms connect, with each passage between two contact springs s and t, the latter with one another and thereby switch on a signaling device temporarily. The contact disk has as many short arms as the tape has Be drawings.
The number of teeth of the two wheels o and q is selected so that each time the band B is handled, the contact disc r also rotates once and that a rotation of the contact disc by the distance between two short arms, a rotation of the band by the distance corresponds to two designations. One arm of the disk r is. longer and connects two contact springs u and v with each other during one revolution of the disc and thus once during a run of the band B. A space free of designations on the tape corresponds to this arm (FIG. 3).
The short contact arms with a signaling device connected to the contacts enable a determination of the correct switching of the ratchet wheel, and the longer arm, its contact springs u and v and a signaling device connected to this enable the determination of the position of the band B and thus the setting of the same to a certain number.
In the second embodiment shown in FIGS. 4 and 5, a shaft a again carries the drum T, which conveys the belt provided with numbers (it could also be letters) .. The shaft a also carries two ratchet wheels b and o, one of which b is firmly connected to the shaft a and the drum T. The switching zad o, however, is freely rotatable on the shaft a and carries a cam disk r. The ratchet gears have the same number of teeth.
The wheel b is operated by means of the switching pawls h and z arranged at the end of the armature arm d , while a switching spring y also attached to the end of the lever d switches the wheel o upstream. The two pawls h and y could also be set by a pawl.
If a current flows through the electromagnet E, the armature arm is attracted, with the ratchet wheels b and o and thus the drum T with the band B carrying the numbers and the cam disk r being held in place by the pawls lz, and y the corresponding Put the wheels up one tooth each.
During this tightening movement, however, the pawl z engages behind a following tooth of the wheel b, so that in the event of a power failure, i.e. when the armature lever goes back, the riad advances by one tooth. In this embodiment, Jud'er Step advances the tape by half the distance between two of the numbers 1 to 0.
By means of the cam disk r, the contact s is closed once per revolution of the belt and furthermore the contact v is closed by each tooth of o sliding over the nose w. Each one in the circuit of these contacts included optical or acoustic signaling apparatus allows the control of the correct switching (contact v) or a determination of the position of the Ban, as with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3 he explains. When the belt B is connected upstream by the ratchet wheel b and the pawl z, the wheel 0 remains at rest, so that two rotations of the wheel b are required for one rotation of the wheel o.
The diameter of the drum T is now #: o dimensioned so that with two revolutions of the same, the belt B rotates once. As described above, the contact s BEZW with each revolution of the belt. des ra des o once closed. The contact v as against is closed every time a number is switched before, the con tact spring with the nose w also serves as a pawl.
9 to 12 shown at is composed of three of the works described and forms a clock with jumping numbers. The first display work carries all the hours 00, 0.1, 02 ..... 21, 22, 23 on the circulating belt Bi. The ratchet wheel egg has 24 teeth. The band B2 of the middle rear derailleur has the numbers 0 to 5 twice and the ratchet c2 has 10 teeth. The shift gears c2 and e3 drive the drums through intermediate gears not shown in such a way that with each step of the shift gears the bands are switched forward by the distance of two numbers from each other.
The third display unit is provided with a band B3, which carries the numbers 0 to 9 and has a ratchet wheel with ten teeth. The electromagnet E3 receives a current impulse of about one second duration from a master clock (not shown) via the lines Li and La every minute. Belt B3 is preceded by one number every minute by these current surges. This number appears in a viewing opening of a case containing the work.
When the number 9 changes to 0, a cam disk f 3 attached to the drum T3 closes a contact 13, whereby the electromagnet E2 is also connected to the lines Li and L2 and the band B2 for the duration of a current surge is also preceded by a number. This process is repeated every ten minutes until the number 59 is formed by the two display units.
The drum T2 is connected to a cam disk f 2 with two cams, by means of which a contact 12 is closed twice during one rotation of the drum T2, which switches the electromagnet Ei into the line Li, L2. The cams of the cam disk f 2 are arranged in such a way that it is switched on whenever the two bands B3 and B2 display the number 59 and are switched back to 0.
With the next current surge, all electromagnets Ei, E2 and E3 are excited at the same time and the three bands show 1 o'clock after switching. This provided that the band Bi was set to 00 beforehand.
The band Bi is therefore switched up every hour, the band B2 every ten minutes and the band B3 every minutes by a designation. In the same way, a display unit for the seconds could be connected, with a power surge being sent through the lines every second.
However, by means of the advertizing work described, advertising texts or displays with alternating text that is switched step by step could also be activated.
However, if the label exceeds certain dimensions, the described electromagnetic drive of the belt is no longer sufficient. Instead, it is driven by an electric motor. Embodiments of such a drive are shown in the display units of FIGS. 13 to 16.
In a housing n-nz, an endless band B is guided over guide rollers Bi ... Bs. An electric motor 31 switches the belt forwards by one word, one letter or one number each time a contact 81 is closed.
13 and 14 show a tower clock designed as described with reference to FIG. 12, which is controlled by any master clock which emits a power surge every minute.
The electromagnet Ei is excited every minute by this current, so that it attracts its armature. The armature is formed by a pivotably mounted lever di which carries a gear ti at its end. Every time the armature is tightened, the gear ti comes into engagement with a gear which is keyed on the shaft of the motor 111. The gear ti is also always in engagement with a gear Zi, which is fixed to the shaft a with the conveyor drum T.
The diameter of the drum T is calculated so that one revolution of the same the band B by one letter respectively. preceded by a number. A freely swingable lever system 1i, 12, which, when the armature swings to the right, engages with its arm 1i on the left in front of a pin pi of the armature and locks the latter in the working position until the lever 1i, 12 again due to the action of the pin bi of the wheel Zi is swung back, ensures uninterrupted engagement between motor 11T and gear Z,
ti during a complete revolution of the drum T, although the contact 81 only remains closed for about 0.6 to 0.8 seconds. The electromagnet Ei remains excited only for a short time and has only the task of bringing the armature lever with the pin pi behind the end of the lever arm 1i. When the drum T has made a full revolution, the pin bi of the drum lifts the lever arm h # and thus also li, so that the lever arm di is free again. A spring gi brings the latter back to its rest position.
The motor current is automatically closed and opened at the right moment by the armature lever di via a contact vi.
In the embodiment of FIG. 1 5, the gear Zi is always in engagement with the gear seated on the motor shaft. If the contact Si is closed by a relay operated by a master clock, the motor i17 receives voltage and. starts to run. A disk 71 and the lever di, h connect a contact vi parallel to the contact Si so that the motor continues to run until the contact v i is interrupted.
This is the case as soon as the drum T has made a full turn so that the lever arm 12 can enter a section of the disk h with its end.
As shown in FIG. 16, the display mechanism designed as a clock can also be provided with a striking mechanism. This figure shows the same drive mechanism as Fig. 13. For the striking mechanism, however, additional parts are added.
In addition to the contact Si, a contact S2, an electromagnet E2 and a battery are provided. The contact clock N closes the contact S2 every time a bell should sound. When the contact S2 closes, the electromagnet E2 is excited; this pulls its armature arm d2 so that the pinion pinion t2 comes into engagement with the motor pinion pinion.
Here, too, the armature arm d2 closes the supply circuit of the motor at v2, in that it is locked in the pivoted position by the lever arm 1s, which passes behind the pin p2 of the armature lever d2.
The eccentric disc r attached to the axis of the wheel Z2 makes one complete revolution like the drum T and lifts the hammer i, thereby the connecting wire k. to the hammer q attracts, the spring ei tensions, so that the bell G will share a blow.
The contact clock closes the contact as often as beats are to be given. The pin bz hits with each revolution of the gear Z2 on the: lever arm 14, which is raised together men with the arm 1s. This releases the armature lever d2 so that the device is ready for another strike.
In the embodiments described, either the tape or the numbers are transparent and are illuminated from behind by a light source.
With smaller watches, the hammer can be actuated directly by the electromagnet. The clocks can also be equipped with a striking mechanism for half or quarter hours.
