Cascade converter system with devices for self-start. It is known to start a cascade converter from the three-phase current side by means of a hybridization choke.
The pure start-up process is managed in three stages. In the first stage, resistance is switched on in part of the rotor winding or in the entire rotor winding of the asynchronous part of the converter, so that start-up can take place; in the second stage, part of the previously used starting resistor is connected in series with a choke switched, whereupon the converter runs into synchronism,
In the third stage, the entire starting device is short-circuited to the rotor phases. Only then can the converter on the direct current side be switched on, provided that the commutator DC voltage has the correct polarity and size.
Since the progress of the starting process depends on conditions that demand the operator's attention to the utmost, it is not surprising that - in the case of previously known starting procedures, faulty switching often resulted - which resulted in sensitive operating faults . - If several converters are available, numerous operating personnel must be deployed to cope with the individual starting processes, so that this makes operation very expensive.
According to the invention, an automatic start-up of the cascade converter is now made possible by the. The DC side of the cascade converter is provided with an additional, but only temporarily switched on external excitation device in addition to the self-excitation, the circuit of which is permanently closed, whereby the direct current voltage generated by the external excitation during start-up influences the automatic switching devices .
The voltage induced by the external excitation on the same current side is dependent on the number of revolutions. The direct current part of the converter serves (; ewisser- as a tachometer generator, on whose voltage, for example, the triggering of a relay is made dependent.
To cope with the actual starting process, three two-pole switches can be used. Each of these two-pole switches remains closed on one phase and connects it to the other phases by closing. The first of the two-pole switches closes in this way: three phases connected to slip rings of the asynchronous part of the converter via resistors, the second switch closes; the three phases via chokes in series with part of the resistors, the third switch closes the three phases directly short.
The switch connections to one phase are permanently established, since a current connection is only established by closing the double-pole switches in the other phases.
The entire starting process including the connection of the direct current side is shown schematically in the following exemplary embodiment. The action of a part of the system on a relay or on a drive is indicated here by arrowheads. Each arrowhead denotes the apparatus or the same on which the action takes place. The entire representation is monopolar while avoiding all incidental issues.
In the figure, 1 denotes the three-phase oil switch, which is .am .Stator of the asynchronous converter part, 6 is the converter, 8 is the main DC switch, 4 is the starter switch, which consists of three two-pole individual switches, respectively. there is a correspondingly constructed contact roller. 5 is the starting resistor, 3 is the short-circuit device for short-circuiting all phases of the asynchronous converter part (including those not used for starting).
2 is a neutral switch, 7 is an interlocking relay, which makes restarting the three-phase Z dependent on the correct number of revolutions of the converter after it has been triggered, 9 is the drive for the three-phase oil switch, 10 is the drive for the neutral switch, 11 the drive of the short circuit, 12 the drive of the starter switch,
13 is the shunt regulator in the exciter circuit on the direct current side, 14 is the exciter winding, 15 is a resistance in the external exciter circuit on the direct current side, 16 is the drive for the direct current main switch, 17, 18, 19, 20 and 21 are connected to the three-phase oil switch, the neutral switch , the short-circuiter and the DC switch connected dependency rolls, 22 is a time relay, 23 a polarized relay that makes the insertion of the DC switch dependent on the correct polarity of the converter.
24 is the contactor for switching on the foreign network ;; un.g. The auxiliary contactor 25 switches on the three-phase oil switch 1 when there is sufficient external excitation if, accordingly, the DC voltage of the converter that is sufficient to regulate the venting process is present.
26 is a return relay and 27 is a relay relay, the mode of operation of which is described below.
The hand roller 29 is intended for switching the converter system from automatic to manually operated start-up. 28 and 30 are the encoder for inserting the rotary stram- or. DC switch.
The mode of operation of the system will first be described for the automatic shutdown (shutdown). The transmitter 28 is brought into the switch-off position. As a result, the oil switch 1 falls out: at the same time, the DC switch 8 is switched off via the dependency roller 17 of the three-phase switch (lowest line of influence starting from the dependency roller 17) and the drive 16.
The return of the short-circuiter 3 is initiated by the dependency roller 17 on the oil switch 1 (above the previous line of influence) via the return relay 26 and the drive 11 controlled by this relay. The return only takes place when the return relay 26 drops out, that is, when the voltage of the cascade converter has dropped to a sufficiently low value, since the return relay is connected to the DC side of the converter (top line of influence).
After the short-circuiting device 3 is opened, the lNTulleiterschalter is switched off via its dependency roller 19 and the drive 10 (top line of influence extending from the roller 19). All other devices and switches remain in: the operating position.
The converter system is now started automatically as follows: The transmitter 28 is in the "on" position. As a result, the drive 12 of the starter switch 4 is rotated into the starting position via the hand roller 29 (center line of influence) and the dependent rollers 19 and 17.
If the starter switch and thus also the interlinking roller 20 coupled to it has reached the starting position, it becomes thin, also starting from the transmitter 28, via the hand roller 29 and the dependency roller 20, the external exciter contactor 24 is connected to voltage, which is now via the Current relay 25 and the resistors 15 external voltage to the exciter winding 14 sets.
If the external excitation current has reached a certain size, the relay 25 is attracted; As a result, a third control circuit is closed by the transmitter 28 directly via the dependency rollers 20, 19 and 18 after the drive 9 of the three-phase oil switch, and the oil switch 1 is thereby switched on.
The circuit clearly shows that the oil switch can only be switched on if the starter switch 4, short circuit 3 and neutral switch 2 are in the correct position, since the switch-on circuit is routed via the dependency rollers of the last-mentioned three switches .
The converter now starts up as an asynchronous motor with resistance in the Rötor circuit. As a result of the external excitation, the direct current side gives direct voltage according to the speed. If the speed to switch from "resistors" .auf,> choke coils "it is enough, then the relay 27 is attracted by this DC voltage via the dependency roller 20 (bottom line of influence), which via 17 and manual roller 29 the drive 12 .des Starter switch 4 switches to the next, that is the second, starting position.
As a result, part of the starting resistor is short-circuited and a choke coil is connected in series with the rest, under the influence of which the cascade converter is synchronized.
Since the self-excitation circuit is permanently closed during the entire start-up process, the machine has its own excitation in: Synchro nism and pushes back the external excitation as the voltage at the excitation terminals increases.
The DC voltage of the converter it now excites the polarized relay 23 via the dependency roller 20, the separately excited winding of the polarized relay gives control voltage from the dependency roller 17 via the roller 20 (top line of influence) and 21. If the polarity is correct, the relay closes 23 over the roller 20 the = from the dependency roller 17 outgoing circuit and switches .that .das relay 22 provided with independent time release on.
At the same time, the self-excitation of the converter 6 is amplified by adjusting the shunt regulator 13 via the circuit connected in parallel with the timing relay, so that the short-circuiter 3. Can work without a voltage surge.
When the time relay 22 has expired, it switches the starter switch to the third position, that is to say to the operating position, via the hand roller 29 (influence line 2 from below). The short-circuiter 3 is then switched on via the dependency roller 20 connected to the starter switch, the hand roller 29 (lowest influence line) and the drive 11.
The dependency roller 19 coupled to the short-circuiter switches on the drive 10 of the neutral switch 2 in the "on" position. This completes the actual start-up process and the machine is ready for use.
The DC switch 8 should be switched on when the polarity is correct and the machine is ready for loading. His switching circuit is therefore passed through the polarized relay 23. By the hand-operated encoder 30, which is with the pivot point b on machine voltage, the polarized relay 23 is again excited via the dependency roller 21 (lower influence line) and the dependency roller 20. If the voltage is correct and the relay closes, it switches on the drive 16 of the DC switch 8 via the dependency roller 19 (middle influence line) and the pivot point a of the transmitter 30.
However, the circuit only takes place when the oil switch 1 is inserted, from whose dependency roller 17 the control voltage then passes to the polarized relay. The polarized relay 23 is now finally switched off by the dependency roller 21, so that no relay is energized during operation.
The neutral holder is not essential for the starting process described. Its citation in the exemplary embodiment is intended to prove that it is also possible to meet other requirements for the start-up in the process described.
