Les figures 1 à10 du dessin annexé montrent, à titre d'exemple, deux formes d'exécution de l'objet de l'invention. La fig. 1 est une coupe en élévation de la première forme d'exécution; la fig. 2 en .est une vue partielle de profil; la fig. 3 en est une vue partielle de la partie mobile de la lampe et des conducteurs d'a menée de courant lorsque tous les filaments sont -à l'extinction; La fig. 4 montre la même disposition que la fig. 3, lorsque le filament A est al lumé;
La fig. 5 montre la même disposition que la fig. .3, lorsque le filament B est allumé; La fig. 6 montre , la même :disposition que la fig. 3, lorsque le filament C est as- lumé; La fig. 7 montre la même disposition que la fig. 3, lorsque les trois filaments -A B C sont simultanément allumés;
La figure 3 montre les positions relatives d'un groupe :de contacts et des supports conducteurs 6, lorsque les trois filaments- sont à l'extinction; la fig. 4 montre l'allumage du - filament- A, la" fig. .5 celui du filament B, la fig. 6 celui du fila ment C;
Electric incandescent lamp with adjustable light intensity. The object of the present invention is an electric lamp. incandescence with adjustable luminous intensity, comprising several filaments and a device for switching each of the filaments individually or all the filaments simultaneously at will, characterized in that the con @ due, - teuis d current supply to the filaments are at least partially embedded in an insulating body,
arranged in the base of the lamp along the longitudinal axis of the latter and are connected to ides contact pads provided on the periphery of this body, these contact pads cooperating with two contact groups each of which is connected to a .two contacts of the socket, these contact groups being arranged so as to be movable relative to the aforementioned body.
Figures 1 to 10 of the accompanying drawing show, by way of example, two embodiments of the object of the invention. Fig. 1 is a sectional elevation of the first embodiment; fig. 2 in. Is a partial profile view; fig. 3 is a partial view of the movable part of the lamp and of the current conductors when all the filaments are extinguished; Fig. 4 shows the same arrangement as in FIG. 3, when the filament A is lit;
Fig. 5 shows the same arrangement as FIG. .3, when filament B is on; Fig. 6 shows the same: arrangement as in FIG. 3, when filament C is turned on; Fig. 7 shows the same arrangement as in FIG. 3, when the three filaments -A B C are simultaneously turned on;
Fig. 8 shows a sectional elevation of the second embodiment; Fig. 9 is a partial side view; Fig. 10 is a schematic view of the exterior of the lamp.
In the first embodiment, the glass bulb 1, preferably of a current model, is mounted on a base comprising a metal cylinder or sleeve 2, inside which is fixed an insulating body 3 , glass, for example, which is crossed by the supports of the filaments: This plate and the bulb will be intimately welded by partial fusion or welding, - so that, as usual, a vacuum too. perfect, as possible can be achieved inside the hen am.
The lamp comprises several filaments of various light powers, the number of different light powers that can be obtained with the same lamp not necessarily being the same as that of the filaments it contains; in the lamp given as an example, we have assumed the. presence of three filaments A. B.
C., the intensities of which are respectively 2, 16 -and 3.2 candles and -whose simultaneous use gives a luminous intensity of 50 candles: The- filaments are -carried, as usual, by ..of conductive supports 4, partly embedded -in the insulating body -3 and, blocking at one of their ends, in the bulb, where they serve as supports for the filaments while they end at their other end at pads 5 , making sail binds outside the insulating body 3:
Suppose the axis of the lamp- vertical; - the two corresponding pads given will be located on the same horizontal, the pads of the filament B- being further from the axis than the pads of the filament A < / B>, the pads of the filament C being themselves further from the axis than the = pads idnz filament B, the 6 -plots! Being moreover in the same vertical plane.
The current is supplied by two groups of contacts comprising conductive supports 6 fixed on a sleeve 7 in which the sleeve 2 can slide; the socket 7 has the shape and dimensions of an ordinary electric lamp base. The displacement of the sleeve and the sleeve, relative to each other, is controlled by a pinion 8 - actuated by a wheel 9 and acting on a rack 10. In order to guide and facilitate this displacement, slides are provided. The conductive supports 6 are terminated by contact pads 11 and are arranged in a vertical plane while also being bent, so as to form a triangle, to bring the current in a desired manner to the various filaments.
For this purpose, the parts 12 of these conductors are horizontal and the parts 113, oblique. Leaf springs 14, fixed at the desired locations of the conductors 6 are used to: ensure contact between these conductors and the pads 5.
The displacement of the contact groups of the lamp relative to. the. socket ,, has the effect of passing the pads successively in contact with the leaf springs 14, which causes the filament A to glow, then the filament B, then the filament C; Continuing to move the mobile contact device, the pads corresponding to the three filaments are brought into contact with the springs carried by the parts 13, which simultaneously causes these three filaments to incandescent. These various positions are shown in Figures 3- to 7.
FIG. 3 shows the relative positions of a group: of contacts and conductive supports 6, when the three filaments are at extinction; fig. 4 shows the ignition of - filament- A, "fig. 5 that of filament B, fig. 6 that of filament C;
fig. 7 shows the current distribution in the three filaments simultaneously. This last position corresponds to the most intense lighting, and you will switch from one given intensity to another by operating stalk 9.
Instead of moving the lamp relative to the socket, it is possible to ensure that it is the conductor supports 6 which move which is the object of the second form of execution represented by figs. . 8 and 9. In this case, it is the cylinder 2 which itself forms the sleeve and serves as a support for the axis of a thumbwheel 15._ The conductor supports 16 for supplying current are carried by an insulating part 17 to which is fixed a rack 18 in engagement with a pin 19.
At the lower end of the conductor supports 16 are fixed leaf springs 20, rubbing against the uprights of current guide 21, terminating in contact pads 2'2. In fig. 8 the position of the conductors shown in solid lines corresponds to extinction, that in dotted lines to maximum lighting.
Instead of moving the mobile part of the lamp by a translational movement, it could be moved by a rotational movement; the various pads would then be placed accordingly. This movement, which will preferably be controlled by a mo lette, can be controlled in any other way.
The filaments are, of course, as economical as possible to consume current, for example half a watt per candle; Likewise, the number of filaments may vary as well as their luminous power.
On the other hand, the movement of the mobile contact device could be remotely controlled by means of everything, mechanical or pneumatic type d2spositif. Likewise the control @du movement of the moving parts relative to each other can be done by any means other than a wheel, pin and rack; it could in particular be done by means of a ring, in which case everything would be arranged accordingly.
We can also arrange things so as to make the bulb removable, that is to say that we will assume the lamp sectioned along the line A, A ', fig. $; the part, including the bulb, which is above this line will then be terminated by a sort of socket which fits over the base part if killed below the line.
At the place where they are supposed to have been cut, the current idu conducting wires will be terminated by kinds of contact pads, so that their continuity is ensured when the removable bulb is placed on the part for mant base. Thus, in the event of a breakage of the bulb, for example, only the bulb will be changed.
