Automatic switching device for unattended refrigeration systems. An unattended cooling system requires that the drive motor of the refrigeration unit depends on the temperature of the room to be cooled or the temperature of the room to be cooled. of the refrigerant is switched on and off automatically, with simultaneous regulation of the required supply of cooling water. In addition, precise control of the amount of cooling water supplied is required so that damage to the system due to insufficient cooling is avoided.
There are already various Schaltvor devices for the unattended operation of cooling systems are known. It has been proposed, for example, that the cooling water flow and the motor of the refrigeration machine be electrically controlled by auxiliary motors. The auxiliary motor for the supply valve in the cooling water line is switched on by a thermostat in the cooling space and the auxiliary motor for starting the refrigeration machine is switched on by the cooling water flowing through the latter. Next, a hydraulically -acting device depending on the pressure in the cooling water line has been proposed.
In this case, the inflow valve in the cooling water line is directly controlled by the thermostat in the cooling room, but the motor of the refrigeration machine is operated by the pressure in the cooling water line with the aid of a control valve (read a switch.
These known switching devices have the major disadvantage that the effectiveness of the system depends on the supply BEZW. the pressure of the cooling water, so that the drive motor is switched off even in the event of brief interruptions in the cooling water supply that are not harmful to the refrigeration machine. Switching off the engine can, however, lead to malfunctions. Furthermore, malfunctions in the operation of the devices mentioned can be caused by the fact that the auxiliary motors do not start due to the temperature change, or by failure of the sensitive relays, respectively. clogging of the valves.
In addition, the valve in the Kühlwasserleitun 'is gradually throttled in both devices by the thermostat in the cold room when the temperature drops, so that the refrigeration machine with insufficient cooling water supply respectively. insufficient control is running.
All these disadvantages are avoided by the present invention by the .Steuerung the drive motor of the refrigeration machine not depending on the supply or the pressure of the cooling water flowing through the latter, but in direct .Albängigkeit of the temperature of the cooling chamber or. Coolant and that of the used cooling water follows, with the cooling water supply being regulated at the same time.
According to the invention, this is done by the fact that at least one switch located in the circuit of the drive motor is switched by respectively in the cooling room. Thermostats arranged in the coolant and the cooling water are controlled directly, and that the cooling water flow is regulated at the same time by the same thermostats.
In the .Drawing two exemplary embodiments of the invention are shown, namely Fig. 1 .die, switching device using one switch for each thermostat, and Fig. 2 the use of a common for both thermostats .Switch.
In A.bb.1 a is the one in the cold room or the coolant-immersed thermostat with great expansion capacity, which raises or lowers the rod b. The switch influenced by this thermostat is labeled c. The switch c will be actuated by one of the weight lever e mounted at g and the spring f consist of the toggle lever, the spring f engaging the handlebar lever e, which is verbun through the rod c2 with the switch blade c the.
The rod 1a, which controls the inflow valve i in the cooling water line, also acts on the handlebar lever c1. The thermostat k immersed in the container for the used cooling water acts by means of the rod l and the weight-loaded toggle linkage na , n, o :, o-, rotatable about point p the slide o. The switches are in series in the motor circuit.
The Ge weights on the levers e and in are appropriately adjustable attached in order to be able to balance the levers.
The drawing shows the location of the individual parts of the switching device that they occupy, as long as in which to cool the room BEZW. The permissible, low temperatures prevail in the coolant and the used cooling water. If the temperature of the cold room rises, the rod b of the thermostat a is raised and the weight lever e is rotated about its pivot point g and the spring f is tensioned until the extended position between the weight lever e and the spring f is reached.
Then the handlebar lever cl is rotated about its bearing point by the spring f, and the rod c_ brings the: switch blade c with momentary movement into the on position. The drive motor q of the chiller is now switched on. At the same time, however, the feed valve in the cooling water line has been opened by the handlebar lever cl and the rod h, so that cooling water flows into the refrigeration machine. The refrigeration machine will now work as long as the permissible, low temperature in the refrigerator is reached again.
Then the thermostat a, supported by the weight lever e, brings the switch c back to the off position, so that both the motor for the refrigeration machine and the cooling water are switched off again. If, on the other hand, there is a blockage in the cooling water flow when the drive motor for the cooling machine is switched on and the cooling water inlet valve is open, the system continues to work until the moment the used cooling water exceeds the prescribed temperature.
Then the thermostat k takes effect and brings the switch o by means of the rod l and the toggle system in., N and the handlebar lever o1, o, in the off switching position. The drive motor remains switched off until cooling water flows in again and the used cooling water in the container has cooled to the permissible temperature.
By dimensioning the receptacle for the used cooling water in accordance with the local conditions, the facility can be designed in such a way that the cooling machine can be operated temporarily without the need to add new cooling water. in the event of a brief lack of cooling water. The tank must be dimensioned so large that the used coolant does not heat up beyond the permissible level.
Such a switching device therefore works completely automatically and fulfills all the conditions imposed on an automatically operating refrigeration machine in the most perfect manner.
A throttling of the inflow valve and thus a reduction in the cooling water supply when the temperature in the nüblraum falls is impossible, since the valve i is only closed when the permissible lowest temperature has been reached. The cooling machine always works with the necessary cooling so that damage to the system is impossible.
With the automatic switching device according to Fig. 2, both thermostats a and k act on the common switch s in the motor circuit. The figure shows the position of the parts with the engine q switched on and the cooling water inlet valve i open. The same parts have the same Br, drawings as in Fig. 1, and the mode of operation is the same as described above. The switch s is held in the closed position by the action of the spring r.
The connecting rods c # e, o., Between the switch and the handlebar levers are provided with loops that allow the iSwitch s to move freely so that it can go through. the thermostats a and k can be opened.
