He dsehluss display device. A ground fault indicator for multi-phase networks must not only indicate the fact of the ground fault that has occurred, but also show the phase affected by the ground fault. A signaling device, which is excited by the zero point voltage, i.e. the voltage of the system zero point to earth, is usually used to display the occurred earth fault. In order to make the earth-closed phase recognizable, earth-fault voltmeters are usually provided, which are connected to the voltages of the individual phases to earth.
In some cases, for example if a signal that can be seen from afar or a signal that remains when the earth fault disappears, or if the counter of a recording device is to be actuated, the voltmeters are no longer sufficient for display, but are Relays required. In such cases, relays connected between phase and earth could be used to identify the sick phase, which respond when the applied voltage falls below a certain amount. However, such a device has the disadvantage that one or more of the relays respond incorrectly even in the event of short circuits.
In addition, relays that respond to the disappearance of a voltage are inferior in their operational properties to those that respond to a voltage being exceeded.
According to the invention is to avoid. d'ung these disadvantages to the voltages between phase and earth each connected to an over-voltage responsive relay with a plurality of contacts, where the contacts are interconnected and connected to an auxiliary voltage that only the signaling device corresponding to the earth-connected phase responds.
An embodiment of the invention is shown in the drawing in application to a three-phase network.
1 is a busbar system, of which the bars u v w are connected to the three phases of the three-phase network, the bar o to the system zero point and the bar e to earth directly or via transducers.
2 is a direct current busbar system that supplies the voltage for operating the display device, 3, 4, 5 are high-voltage relays which are connected to the voltages of the individual phases to earth and are each provided with two contacts. 6 is an additional magimal voltage relay equipped with a contact that is excited by the voltage difference between system zero and earth.
7, 8, 9 are signal devices, for example lamps or windings of auxiliary relays, which in turn control any devices. 10 is a further signal device, for example a horn, which is connected either in such a way as it is indicated with solid lines, or in such a way as it shows the embodiment shown in dashed lines.
The relays 3, 4, 5 are set so that they close their contacts when the voltage acting on them exceeds the value of the phase voltage by a certain amount. The relay 6 is set so that it closes its contact if any noticeable voltage occurs on it. The circuits of the lamps 7-9 are individually guided via contacts of two of the relays 3, 4, 5 and also via the contact of the relay 6, so that when talking about two of the relays 3, 4, 5 and when they respond simultaneously of the relay 6 one of the lamps 7, 8, 9 lights up and at the same time the horn 10 sounds.
In the event of a single-phase earth fault, two of the relays 3, 4, 5 always receive overvoltage and close the associated contacts. In the presence of a ground fault, the contact of the relay 6 is also always closed and as a result one of the three lamps will light up and display glass before the presence of a ground fault in the corresponding phase. If the earth fault is present in phase tv, for example, the relays 3, 4 will respond and the lamp 8 will light up.
The relay 6 is not absolutely necessary, it is only used to increase the security against incorrect response in the event of voltage increases caused by malfunctions or operationally.
