Description
Liquid valve. The present invention is a liquid valve with an internally cylindri's valve body, which is provided with a number of channels and surfaces with a sliding valve in the Ven tilkörper with cylin drical sealing surfaces. The valve is characterized in that the slide also has a non-cylindrical sealing surface which is intended to cooperate with a surface formed in the valve body.
The drawing shows an embodiment example of the subject matter of the invention, namely: FIG. 1 shows a longitudinal section and FIG. 2 shows a cross section through the same; Figure 3 shows the same valve connected to piping on an apparatus for purifying water.
In the drawing, 2 designates the internally cylindrical valve body, which is provided with five channels and the associated pipe connections u, v, x, y, z. The slide 3 fits into the cylindrical part of the body and by means of the key 4 and the keyway, rotation of the slide is prevented. G denotes an axle mounted in the body, one end of which is square and carries a handle 8 through which the axle can be rotated.
The other end of axis G is threaded and secured in a threaded hole in the slide. A stuffing box 7 prevents leakage and also prevents axial movement of the axle. A rotation of the axis by means of the handle 8 thus brings about a slow displacement of the slide in the body. A pin 9 fastened to the slide extends through the stuffing box 10 and is provided with four characters 9, B, C, D , by means of which the position of the slide can be read.
The pin can also be connected to a rotatable pointer in such a way that the pointer shows the position of the slide on an arc divided into degrees.
The slide 3 has a number of cylindrical sealing surfaces 1.1, which serve to close off one or more channels. It also has a flat sealing surface 12 which is intended to cooperate with the flat surfaces 14 formed in the body. A disk 15 of fiber or other sealing material is provided between surfaces 12 and 14.
In Fig. 3, the attached to the pipelines of a cleaning apparatus 16 valve is shown.
In position A, the pipes x and y, as well as z and zc, are connected to one another.
In the B position, the pipes x, z and y, as well as ic and v are connected to one another.
In position C, the pipes x and z as well as 2t and v are connected to one another.
In position D the pipes x, z and it, as well as y and v are connected to one another. By appropriately changing the shape of the slide and the number of channels, as well as their mutual position, other combinations can be obtained that are required for various purposes.
The valve shown can easily be connected with lines. It is also tight and can be designed in such a way that it does not cause large water surges in the lines.
