Process and combustion system for burning pulverulent fuels. In combustion systems for pulverized fuels, the fuel is first ground in a grinding system and then fed to the burners.
Up to now, it has been a difficult problem to design such a combustion system in such a way that it enables the absorption of changing loads with sufficient economic utilization of the performance of the grinding system. If, for example, the grinding system was dimensioned so large that it was able to take up top performance, it worked relatively uneconomically with lower loads, while with a grinding system of smaller dimensions, the consumption of exceptionally high performance was again associated with difficulties.
The object of the invention is a method and a furnace for burning pulverulent fuel.
According to the invention, the procedure for burning the fuel is such that in a furnace that has one of one or more grinding units, working on one or more burners, the pulverulent fuel required to compensate for load fluctuations be from one or more dust stores admits to the burner or burners.
The grinding system can, for example, advantageously be dimensioned in such a way that its full output corresponds to the normal load on the burner or burners, while the fuel required to achieve peak outputs is added from the dust store or stores. The or the dust storage can directly into the line, respectively. Lines between the grinding plant and the burner or burners must be installed.
In larger systems, for example in groups of ovens or steam boilers, a special grinding unit can advantageously be seen in addition to the grinding units that work together with the individual burners, which is used to fill the dust storage with fuel. Furthermore, the grinding unit used to fill the dust accumulator can consist of one or more mills and its output can be such that it can also serve as a full reserve for each of the grinding units working on the burners.
The accompanying drawing shows various exemplary embodiments of combustion systems for carrying out the claimed method.
Fig. 1 shows a furnace for burning pulverulent fuels, which is suitable for processing dry coal; Fig. 2 shows a furnace in which wet coal is to be processed; Fig. 3 shows a furnace in the Alfrlss with four steam boilers, while Fig. 4 shows the same system in plan view.
Specifically, in Fig. 1 a denotes the task for the raw coal, m the grinding plant, e an exhaustor, s a dust store, r a regulating device, for example a valve, l the fuel line, b the burner, o the furnace, x an explosion hood. The mode of operation of this system W is as follows: The fuel extracted from the grinding system m by the Exhaustor e and pulverized in the form of dust is blown into the dust store s.
After the dust reservoir has been filled, the excess, newly supplied, dust-like fuel goes through line 1 to the burner b, so that the grinding system now constantly supplies the burner. In the event of load fluctuations, a certain additional amount of fuel can be introduced into the line l from the memory s by opening the regulating device r accordingly.
In Fig. 2, the same reference characters mean the same components as in Fig. 1. In addition, k denotes a channel through which the hot exhaust gases from the Feue tion are passed to the grinding unit. Furthermore, y is a second exhaustor acting on the line Z leading to the burner, and z is an evaporation pipe.
The mode of operation of this system is as follows: In the grinding system m, as in the system according to FIG. 1, the fuel supplied at approx., For example raw coal, is crushed to a fineness of dust. It is expedient to work with constant circular guidance of the material to be shredded through a viewer arranged above the grinding system m and back to the mill.
Since a considerable degree of moisture in the raw coal is required, the raw coal must be dried simultaneously with the grinding process, for which purpose the exhaust gases supplied through the channel 7c are used by the boiler. The dust storage s is switched on ummittel bar in the line leading to the burner b.
The amount of fuel fed into the line l can be regulated by setting the regulating device r accordingly. The Exhaustor y serves to blow the air required to transport the fuel and to burn it into the line Z.
In the combustion system shown in FIGS. 3 and 4, various steam boilers d are provided, which are provided with burners b , each of which mediates from a special grinding unit m an exhaustor e and a fuel line Z is supplied with fuel. Since the grinding aggregates m, as can be seen from FIG. 3, channels k leading to flue gas are ruled out, wet fuel, for example wet coal, can also be processed and simultaneously getrock net during the grinding process.
A special dust accumulator s is connected to each of the exhaustors e supplying the lines l with coal dust. These are each provided with a regulating device r and an evaporation pipe z.
Apart from the grinding aggregates m and the exhaustors e working together with the burners b, a special grinding aggregate na 'with an exhaustor e' is provided, which is used to fill the dust storage s with fuel during normal operation of the combustion system.
