Ausführungsbeispiele der Vorrichtung sind in der Zeichnung dargestellt, und zwar zeigt: Fig. 1 eine Draufsicht einer Prägeform hälfte, Fig. 2 einen Längsschnitt derselben, Fig. 3 eine Draufsicht der andern Präge- formhä.lfte, und F'ig. 4 einen Längsschnitt derselben; Fig. 5 zeigt ein Stück der Prägeform mit eingelegtem Verpackungsblatt im Schnitt; Fig. 6 zeigt ein Stück des Verpackungs blattes im Schnitt, und Fig. 7 eine Ansicht desselben;
Das Verfahren zur Herstellung des Ver packungsblattes kann beispielsweise so aus geübt werden, dass ,das Verpackungsblatt, zum Beispiel ein Stanniolblatt zwischen die beiden Hälften einer metallischen Präge form, deren Prägeflächen den Faltlinien gleich verlaufende Rippen und Rillen auf weisen, gelegt und dazwischen gepresst wird;
Packaging sheet, method and device for its manufacture. The present invention relates to a packaging sheet prepared for folding, for example made of tinfoil, aluminum foil or paper, as well as a method and a device for producing the same.
For the packaging of items of goods that have to be packed in tinfoil, aluminum foil or paper, etc. for the purpose of protection from moisture and better preservation, for example chocolate, pralines and related products, this wrapping is done according to the previous methods with the usual packaging machines are not folded together neatly enough to look sufficiently pleasing, but in most cases an outer, neatly folded, glued or sealed paper sleeve must be placed around it, which then receives the advertising, etc.
This double packaging is cumbersome and makes the product more expensive. The mentioned difficulty of folding a film envelope or the like cleanly around the object to be packaged is due to the low resistance of these sheets. It is not only difficult to fold a sheet of paper in a straight line at a desired point, but also to prevent it from being folded at every incision or kink that is already there.
This difficulty is now resolved with the packaging sheet according to the invention, .that this is provided with embossings which determine the folding lines and which can be pressed onto the packaging sheet by means of an embossing form.
To carry out this method, an embossing mold can be used, the embossing surfaces of which have protruding folded edges that emboss the fold lines in the packaging sheet.
Exemplary embodiments of the device are shown in the drawing, namely: FIG. 1 shows a top view of an embossing mold half, FIG. 2 a longitudinal section of the same, FIG. 3 a top view of the other embossing mold halves, and FIG. 4 is a longitudinal section of the same; Fig. 5 shows a piece of the embossing form with inserted packaging sheet in section; Fig. 6 shows a piece of the packaging sheet in section, and Fig. 7 is a view of the same;
Fig. 8 shows one half of a half-finished packaging, and Fig. 9 shows a piece of the embossing mold according to a further embodiment in section.
The method for producing the packaging sheet can be practiced, for example, in such a way that the packaging sheet, for example a tinfoil sheet between the two halves of a metallic embossing form, the embossing surfaces of which have ribs and grooves running the same as the fold lines, is placed and pressed between them;
Here, the ribs of each embossing surface lie in the grooves of the other, so that the packaging sheet receives corresponding embossments, which are shown in FIG. 7 are shown in view and in Fig. 6 in section. The imprints provided in Fig. 7 with full lines is raised on the one side of the sheet, the dotted lines drawn after the other, corresponding to the folding of the sheet shown in Fig. 8 when completing the packaging.
A packaging sheet produced in this way lies in the packaging machine or when packaging by hand exactly in the folds determined by the impressions, especially without throwing or wrinkling at the corners, and the finished packaging has an exact appearance.
The embossing farm shown in FIGS. 1 to 5 consists of two rectangular embossing plates 1 and 2, namely the plate 1 has ribs 3 and grooves 4 on the embossing surface, all of which are in exact agreement with the fold lines; the plate 2 has on its embossing surface the ribs 3 of the plate 7 opposite grooves 5 and the grooves 4 of the former opposite ribs 6.
Since all the ribs come to lie in grooves, the embossed surfaces can be pressed directly against one another, and an interposed tinfoil sheet V receives corresponding, permanent embossments.
Another embodiment of an embossing mold is shown in Fig. 9. Here, the embossing plates 1 and 2 are covered with a rubber layer 7 and the ribs are set as a raised metal strip 8 in the rubber layer 7, the ribs opposite in the other rubber layer are recessed corresponding grooves can; but this is not absolutely necessary because. the metal ribs can press enough into the soft rubber to produce the embossing in the packaging sheet V.
Instead of rubber, another elastic material, for example felt or soft leather, could also be used.
Another way of providing the packaging sheets with the above-described embossed lines can be done in such a way that the sheets fed to the packaging machine in endless belts are guided through between two rollers which are attached to the packaging machine itself and which are provided with the folding edges in order to emboss the fold lines in this way shortly before use.
