Dent artificielle.
Des formes d'exécution de l'objet de l'in vention sont représentées, â titre d'exemple, au dessin annexé, dans lequel: La fig. 1 montre en ,vue perspective la partie de porcelaine d'une première forme d'exécution; La fig. 2 en montre la partie -métallique, et les Fig.3 à 8 montrent d'autres vues de cette même dent; La fig. 9 montre en vue perspective .la partie de porcelaine d'une seconde forme d'exécution; La fig. 10 en montre la partie métal lique, et Les fig. 11 à 19 montrent d'autres vues de cette même dent;
La fig. 2 montre la partie métallique in en forme de bague serai-circulaire dont les tenons latéraux a' remplissent parfaitement les rainures a et la traverse b', la rainure transversale b de la couronne, tandis que la partie c' couvre la partie c de la dent du côté de la langue; La fig. 3 montre la partie métallique m en train d'être enfilée sur la couronne p et la fig. 4 montre les deux parties réunies en semble, la couronne étant fixée sur la bague à l'aide de mastic;
Les fig. 17, 18, 19 montrent en perspec tive la dent du côté gencival et plus parti culièrement la fig.17 montre comment la partie métallique est introduite dans la partie de porcelaine ; la fig. 18 montre la partie métallique seulement, tandis que la fig. 19 montre toute la dent avec ses deux parties combinées;
Artificial tooth. The present invention relates to an artificial tooth with a porcelain crown - removable comprising a step provided at its rear part up to mid-height of the crown.
In the tooth according to the invention, the con. connection of the crown with the body of the denture is established using a semi-circular ring engaged in a transverse groove of the crown and with the step provided on the rear part of the crown coming to join said groove, the ring being provided with tenons engaged in corresponding lateral grooves of the crown.
The arrangement indicated has the advantage that in mechanical odontotechnical operations to bring together several teeth of this type, only the metal part is exposed to the action of heat. Since the porcelain part can be fixed with putty when the assembly work is finished, the porcelain will be more resistant because it is not influenced by heat.
When it is necessary to replace the porcelain part, it can be done without the need to destroy the denture in the mouth (in the bridges) and without using a flame. A great saving in gold and other metals can thus be achieved, because the metal part is made once and for all while the porcelain part is fixed by means of putty.
The tooth also has the advantage, from an aesthetic point of view, that in the prosthesis placed we do not see the metal on the mas ticatory and outer side; despite this, the strength of the tooth is not reduced.
Embodiments of the object of the invention are shown, by way of example, in the accompanying drawing, in which: FIG. 1 shows a perspective view of the porcelain part of a first embodiment; Fig. 2 shows the metal part, and Fig.3 to 8 show other views of the same tooth; Fig. 9 shows a perspective view of the porcelain part of a second embodiment; Fig. 10 shows the metal part of it, and FIGS. 11 to 19 show other views of the same tooth;
Figs. 20 and 21 are vertical sections of the porcelain part of this tooth, and Figs. 22 and 23 show vertical sections of the two joined parts of this tooth.
The tooth shown in Figs. 1 to 8 is composed of a porcelain part p and a metal part rn in the shape of a semi-circular ring. Part p forming the crown has two lateral grooves a beginning a little below the masticatory surface and going along the median plane to the surface of the gums, these two grooves being connected by a transverse groove b on the gum surface. The inner part, that is to say the part of the side of the tongue starting at the gums and continuing for the whole half of the height of the crown, forms a step and extends between the two lateral grooves a.
Fig. 2 shows the metal part in in the shape of a semi-circular ring whose lateral tenons a 'perfectly fill the grooves a and the cross member b', the transverse groove b of the crown, while the part c 'covers the part c of the tooth on the side of the tongue; Fig. 3 shows the metal part m being threaded onto the crown p and FIG. 4 shows the two parts joined together, the crown being fixed to the ring using mastic;
Figs. 5, 6, 7, 8 show the same tooth of FIGS. 1, 2, 3, 4 seen from the side of the tongue, that is to say from the inside of the mouth; Figs. 9, 10, 11, 12 show as a second embodiment perspective views of a tooth on the left side of the upper jaw, which tooth is similar to the above-described tooth in construction details; Figs. 13, 14, 15, 16 show the same tooth seen from the outside.
Figs. 17, 18, 19 show in perspective the tooth from the gingival side and more particularly fig. 17 shows how the metal part is introduced into the porcelain part; fig. 18 shows the metal part only, while fig. 19 shows the whole tooth with its two parts combined;
Figs. 20, 21, 22, 23 are vertical sections of this tooth and more particularly figs. 20 and 21 show diametral vertical sections of the woolen part, one perpendicular to the other, while figs. 22 and 23 show similar sections perpendicular to each other of the entire tooth with its two parts united.
The preparation of the artificial tooth described is analogous either for molar, incisor, or canine teeth; furthermore the inner part of the tooth can be completely or partially coated with a metal lining to increase the strength of the artificial tooth, and the reduced porcelain part can also be protected, if desired, by a thin sheet , to provide metallic contact to the metallic part of the tooth.
