Description
Holzverbindung.
Wood connection. The subject matter of the present invention is a wood connection for bodywork. Boats, furniture, ladders, etc., in which the two parts to be connected are provided with two bores running obliquely to one another, into which pegs are driven.
In the drawing, the subject of the invention is shown in three exemplary embodiments in FIGS. 1 to 3.
In the parts 1 and 2 connected by gluing in a manner not shown, two mutually inclined bores are attached into which tightly fitting pins 3 are driven. The inclined position of the tenons means that the durability of the connection is not only caused by the glueing alone, but also by the fact that due to the spatial shape of the contact surfaces of the tenons of each tenon a relative displacement of the parts in the direction of the other Prevents pin and thus opposes the separation of the connected parts increased resistance.
Compared to the known connection by only one pin, the arrangement of two or more pins has the advantage that any rotation of the parts 1 and 2 against one another is prevented by the pin.
Fig. 2 shows that the tight fit in the pin holes can be increased by the sections of the pin 3 driven in Stirnein wedges 4. In the case of large lateral stresses (Fig. 3), it is advisable to fold the front end of part 2 into part 1.
