Process for dyeing and printing textile materials containing ester groups with disperse dyes. The invention relates to a process for dyeing and printing textile materials containing ester groups, such as loose fibers or fabrics made from e.g. Cellulose esters, especially cellulose acetate, and polyesters, especially those based on terephthalic acid and ethylene glycol, with disperse dyes,
which is characterized in that the disperse dyes used are water-insoluble or sparingly water-soluble mono- or dinitroarylhydrazones or
-osazone aliphatic, cycloaliphatic, aromatic, araliphatic or heterocyclic aldehydes or ketones or phthalate, such as those produced by condensation with the escape of water from mono- or dinitroarylhydrazones of aromatic carbonyl compounds,
which carry a carboxyl group in the o-position to the carbonyl group are available, perished.
The process according to the invention gives yellow and orange dyeings and prints which are distinguished by good to very good fastness properties, in particular fastness to light, washing, perspiration, sublimation and heat setting. It should also be emphasized that the dyes which can be used according to the invention practically do not stain cotton and can therefore also be used with advantage for dyeing and printing mixed fabrics which only partially consist of materials containing ester groups.
The dyes that can be used for the process according to the invention can be prepared in a known manner. Reaction of nitroarylhydrazines with the carbonyl compounds mentioned, preferably in the acidic pR range, and, if appropriate, with subsequent condensation with elimination of water to give the corresponding phthalazones.
The table below lists a number of suitable disperse dyes and the colors available with them. The table also shows the wide range of possible variations in the structure of the dyes.
Therein mean:

EMI0004.0001
EMI0005.0001
The conversion of the dyes into the fine disperse required for their application, for example one with an average grain size of about 1t1., Can be done by
that they can be used in a known manner in a water-miscible solvent or in conc. Sulfuric acid dissolves, the solution is then introduced into water, the product precipitated again is filtered off, washed and, with the addition of conventional dispersants and grinding aids, comminuted to the desired particle size by grinding and / or kneading.
The dyeing can be carried out in a manner known per se, e.g. for polyester materials in the presence of carriers at 80-125o or in the absence of carriers, optionally with the addition of dispersants, at 100-140o. Printing and padding work in the presence of a thickener and fix at elevated temperature with or without steam.
Printing on polyester fibers can also be carried out according to the known heat setting process in the presence or absence of wetting agents.
Example <U> 1 </U> Pre-cleaned polyester fabric is padded on the foulard with the following liquor (liquor pick-up 60 yb):
EMI0006.0034
75 <SEP> g <SEP> of a <SEP> aqueous <SEP> staining preparation, <SEP> whose <SEP> production <SEP> is described <SEP> further <SEP> below <SEP>,
<tb> 4 <SEP> g <SEP> of a <SEP> commercially available <SEP> dispersant <SEP>
<tb> ethylene oxide base,
<tb> 50 <SEP> g <SEP> clginate thickening <SEP> (454ig)
<tb> water
<tb> 1 <SEP> liter Then it is dried at <B> 1000 </B> and post-heated for 50 seconds at 2100.
This is followed by a reductive aftertreatment with an aqueous liquor containing 6 cc / l sodium hydroxide solution (38o B6) and .3 g / l hydrosulphite for 20 minutes at 50-600. It is rinsed and dried.
A greenish yellow dyeing with very good lightfastness and excellent sublimation and heat-setting fastness is obtained. Treated cotton is practically not soiled.
The dye preparation used is prepared by adding 1 part of 3,3 ', 4,4'-tetrachlorobenzophenone-dinitrophenylhydrazone and 1 part of the sodium salt of dinaphthylmethanedisulfonic acid with 8 parts of distilled water. Water ground in a ball mill to a grain size of about <I> 1 </I> fc.
<U> Example 2 </U> Pre-cleaned polyester yarn is pretreated at 800 for 10 minutes in a liquor containing 4 g / 1 terephthalic acid dimethyl ester as carrier. Then 50 g / l of a dye preparation prepared as above from Be.zalacetophenon-dinitrophenylhydrazone and 1.5 g / l of a commercially available dispersant based on ethylene oxide are added to the liquor and stained at 1250 for one hour.
(Liquor ratio 1.20.) After rinsing, reductive aftertreatment, as indicated in Example 1, and renewed rinsing, a gold-yellow dyeing with good fastness properties is obtained.
<U> Example 3 </U> 16 parts of a dyeing preparation made from acetaldehyde dinitrophenylhydrazone as prepared in Example 1 are introduced into a dye bath composed of 1000 parts of water and 2 parts of Marseille soap. 30 parts of a fabric made of acetate artificial silk are then introduced. The dyeing is carried out at a dyebath temperature which is brought to 800 within 30 minutes and then kept at this temperature for one hour.
This is followed by rinsing with soft water and drying. He holds a yellow dye with good fastness properties. Example <U> 4 </U> polyester fabric is printed with the following printing paste
