Description

Roller skates. The object of the invention is a roller skate which is characterized in that it comprises two coaxial rollers, between which the part of the skate on which the foot rests is suspended.

The accompanying drawing shows, by way of example, one embodiment of the object of the invention.

Fig. 1 shows it in side elevation, while FIG. 2 is an elevation of the rear side.

The roller skate shown has two rollers 1 each comprising a hub 2, spokes 3, a rim 4 and a tire 5, preferably made of rubber.

The two rollers are mounted by their hub, on the ends of an axle 6 from which is suspended, between the rollers, a support serving as a support for the foot 7 and for fixing the latter. This < / B> support comprises a bracket 8 suspended from the axle 6 so that it can pivot on the latter. On the caliper is fixed a sole 9 raised at right angles, at its rear end. The stirrup and the sole are assembled by side bands 10. The foot 7 is secured to the support by a strap 10 'which can be completed by other fixing means.

At the rear of the support is provided a positive braking device comprising a shoe 12 supported by an arm 13 pivoted in an ear 14 riveted to the raised heel of the sole 9. To the arm 13 is fixed a spur 15 of which the lug. free end is provided with a roller 16 bearing on the ground. The shoe 12 being placed opposite the tire of one of the rollers 1, it is pressed against this wheel to scratch its movement, when the support 8, 9, 10 is pivoted forward so that the roller 16 is strongly pressed on the ground. The braking device could also be constructed otherwise than described above; it could, for example, include two its bots, one of which is for each roulette wheel. The support could also be built differently.

To eliminate the right middle part of the axle 6, part which could hinder the movements of the foot 7, the axle could be bent so that the foot can rest on its middle part. The same effect can be obtained by placing each caster on an axle and connecting the two axles to each other at their inner ends, by means of a caliper.
