Arrangement of auxiliary equipment on motor vehicles. The currently common usual arrangement of auxiliary equipment on motor vehicles, such as automobiles, motor boats, etc., so for example the inductor, the water pump, the regulator, the alternator, the starter engine, etc. inside the bonnet is unfavorable on the one hand the apparatus at this location is not exactly easily accessible and the engine is exposed to heat and pollution from dust and oil, and on the other hand, the engine becomes less accessible due to these apparatuses.
These shortcomings are now to be remedied by the subject of the present invention.
According to the invention, the named auxiliary devices are at least partially housed outside the hood at an easily accessible place on the vehicle in a closed container.
Thanks to this arrangement, the apparatus in question is not exposed to contamination and premature destruction due to excessive heating and is also more easily accessible, as well as the motor itself can be removed and installed more quickly, making repairs quicker and cheaper can.
The auxiliary devices are conveniently housed in a guest behind the dashboard, which can be folded down for this purpose, and their drive can then take place in directly from the engine through transmission means.
For example, embodiments of the subject matter of the invention are shown in the drawing, namely show: Figures 1 and 3, the front part of a motor vehicle superstructure in longitudinal section; Fig. 2 and 4 an interior view of the end face of the driver's seat with the arrangement of the auxiliary equipment according to FIG. 1 respectively. 3.
Fig. 1 shows the various, generally known parts of the chassis C together with the engine M, bonnet H and driver's seat F, the description of which can be dispensed with. The auxiliary equipment, namely the Mag netinduktor 1, the Lichdynamo 2 coupled with the former and the starter motor 3 are now in a box 4, the front end of which forms the dashboard 5, housed at the Füh rersitz. The dashboard 5 is fixed by means of hinges and, as shown in dashed lines, can be folded down into a horizontal position, with an inner edge strip in the box 4 protecting tools, lube cans and the like from rolling down. The connection cable K from the magnetic inductor 1 to the motor M are passed through the front wall V of the driver's seat.
The magnetic inductor 1 is driven by means of a flexible shaft 6 from the motor M, and the drive transmission from the starter motor 3 to the engine flywheel is also carried out by means of a flexible shaft 7, which is mounted in 8 and by means of gear transmission 9 engages the circumference of the flywheel.
The second embodiment according to FIGS. 3 and 4 shows exactly the same arrangement as the first according to FIGS. 1 and 2 and differs from that only in the type of drive of the auxiliary equipment, in that instead of a flexible shaft, a rigid transmission means angular drives and shafts is seen. The motor M drives the light dynamo along with a magnetic inductor via shaft 13, angle drive 12, shaft 11 and angle drive 10, and the transmission of motion from starter motor 3 to motor M is also done by means of angle drive 14, shaft 15 and other angle drives and shaft pieces, not shown Gear transmission 9 on the engine flywheel.
In both of the execution forms described, the supply of the ignition cable K to the engine is done from above so that the same does not come into contact with hot parts of the engine and can suffer malfunctions.
In addition to the indicated auxiliary apparatus, other apparatus, usually housed in the engine hood, could also be arranged in the manner described. These devices could also be at any other easily accessible location on the body or chassis, e.g. B. on the running boards or under the driver's seat. Link chains, cable drives, etc. can also be used for the transmission of motion instead of the specified means.
Instead of angle drives, worm drives, helical gears or the like could also be used.
A transmission arrangement combined with rigid shafts and flexible shaft parts could also be used.
