Innovation in dobby and jacquard machines. The subject of the present invention is a novelty on dobby and jacquard machines. This innovation allows the machine to run smoothly and perfect shedding. In order to achieve these results, the flight knives are carried by levers, which are given a swinging movement by cam discs.
In the accompanying drawings, an embodiment of the invention is shown on a double stroke shaft machine.
1 shows the exemplary embodiment partially in a front view, and FIG. 1 a shows the parts of the loom that come into consideration and adjoin FIG. 1 on the right, on a smaller scale; FIG. 2 shows a plan view of FIG. 1, and FIG. 3 shows a partial side view.
a denotes the frame of the shaft machine, b a shaft mounted therein, on which the two cams c, d are attached. The shaft b receives its drive from a shaft e by means of the angle gears f, g; the shaft e is continuously and inevitably driven by means of the chain wheel h by a constantly running shaft of the loom hl, not shown.
The two knife levers i, 1 are rotatably supported by means of the bolt Z and in on the frame a; each of these carries a sliding roller n respectively. o, each of which rests on one of the cams c, d. On each side of the machine are a lever i respectively. k and a cam c respectively. d provided, of which .aber only one respectively in the drawing. only one is shown.
In each of the knives p, q carried by the levers k, i , one end of a rod t or za be = fastened, which rods with the other end each in one eye r or. s of frame a are performed. The effect of these rods is that the knives essentially maintain their inclined position during the oscillations of the levers i and k.
The upper sinker hooks v are in a known manner in the area of the knife p, while the lower sinker hooks av are arranged in the area of the knife q; Both groups of boards are actuated in a known manner by card chains that are not specifically shown.
Each platinum label v, 2v engages with the rear end on a balancer x, which in the position shown in FIG. 1 rests with the rear side on the two transverse bars y and v. Each balancer engages in its center with a rocker arm 1, which itself is rotatably seated on a rod 2 of the machine frame a and through a rod 3 is in engagement with a three-armed rocker arm 4 which is fixed on the shaft 5 supported on the loom frame ( Fig. La).
The rocker arm 4 is connected to an arm 8 of the rocker arm 9 by means of the arm 6 and the rod 7; the two rocking levers 4 and 9 carry the cords 13 carrying the shafts 12 by means of the toothed arms 10 and 11. The shafts 12 are constantly pulled downwards by springs 14. When the loom is started, the chain gear da, the shaft e and the angular gear f, g also set the control shaft b with the cam disks c and d on it in rotation, with the effect da .ss the knife levers i, k are set in oppositely directed oscillations.
In Fig. 1 it is assumed that the upper sinker hook v with the knife p of the lever k in engagement, the lower sinker hook m, however, disengaged from the knife q of the lever i. stand
During the rotation of the cam disk d in the direction of the arrow drawn in, the plate hook v is pulled to the left during the first half turn by the 3-knife p carried by the lever k and thus also the upper part of the Ba lancier x swings to the left, with the effect that with the help of the rocker arm 1 and the rod 3, the rocker arm 4 and 9, the rod 7 and the cords 13, the shaft 12 is also raised to the highest position.
When the cam disk d executes the second half turn, assuming that the hook 2v remains out of the area of the knife q, the lowering of the shafts and the closing of the compartment take place mainly under the influence of the springs 14. From what has been said the effect for the case when the board hook 2v is brought into a grip with the knife q without further ado.
As can be seen from Fig. 1, who the lifting knife p and q from the levers i and 1: worn, and these again are immediately set in oscillation by the cams c and d. Compared to known arrangements, the present one offers the advantage that no intermediate organs are necessary between the rocker levers and the knives.
The arrangement of the shaft b carrying the cams c and d between the levers i and k on the one hand and the balancers x on the other hand, in conjunction with the abovementioned omission of previously required intermediate organs, enables a short overall length of the machine, which means not only a significant saving in weight, but also a substantial saving in space, making the worker a much better one. Overview of the whole loom is made possible.
The drive of the knife lever i and k and thus also the shafts by cam disks instead of cranks or circular eccentrics as before, results in a rapid and complete opening and closing of the compartment before and after the passage of the Sehützen; the central points of the cam disks cause the case to come to a standstill in the open state during the passage of the protection. This results in a good shedding and thus a smooth run of the whole machine.
ZNrie mentioned at the beginning, the invention is shown in connection with a Doppelhubschaft- masehine .; however, it can also be used in single-stroke shaft machines and in jacquard machines.
In the latter case there are no balancers; on the other hand, the levers that carry the boxes that support the blanking knives receive their oscillating movements from the cam discs, which means that the compartment movement takes place again according to the external shape of the cam discs. By appropriately shaping the external shape of the cam disks, the stroke movement of the shafts can be designed as required.
Instead of the two cams being arranged on the same shaft, as shown, a special shaft could be provided for each of them, these shafts being arranged conaxially to one another.
Instead of slices on each machine side could be provided on only one machine side of which the oscillating movements of the two knives p. and q would have to be derived directly.
