Abstract

The design consists of the features of shape and ornamentation of the cosmetic bottle with cap. The cosmetic bottle of Figures 1-5 comprises a lower container portion and an upper cap portion, and a neck portion disposed between the cap and container portions.The container portion has a side wall which is straight at the rear, curved at the sides and slightly bowed at the front. The side wall has an upper margin which slopes downwardly forming shoulders at the container sides. A series of widely spaced arcuate ribs is disposed at each side of the container portion.The cap portion of the cosmetic bottle has a lesser width than does the container portion, and is positioned to abut the neck. The cap has a side wall which is slightly bowed at the front and the back and convexly curved at the sides. The side wall at the sides of the cap tapers toward the top of the cap terminating in arched shoulders. The side wall at the front and the back of the cap is straight for a distance and then tapers to a concave upper margin between the shoulders. A series of closely spaced arcuate ribs is disposed at either side of the cap portion.The cosmetic bottle shown in Figures 6-10 exhibits a variant of the design of the bottle of Figures 1-5. The container portion, relative to its cap portion, is of greater dimensions than the container of Figures 1-5. The side wall of this container portion, at the front, is more prominently bowed as compared with the design of the bottle of Figures 1-5.
