Abstract
L'invention divulgue des procédés et des appareils de compactage de sol et de matériaux granuleux. Selon certains modes de réalisation, les appareils de compactage de sol comprennent un agencement d'éléments d'extension de diamètre qui, dans leur état étendu, forment une surface de compactage plus grande. Selon un autre mode de réalisation, une chambre de compactage peut être dotée d'éléments de restriction de diamètre et d'un passage traversant d'écoulement dans la partie supérieure de la chambre extérieure à un arbre d'entraînement. Les éléments d'extension ou de restriction de diamètre peuvent être fabriqués à partir, par exemple, de chaînes, de câbles ou de fils d'acier individuels, ou d'un réseau de chaînes, de câbles ou de fils d'acier horizontalement et verticalement reliés. D'autres modes de réalisation de l'appareil de compactage de sol comprennent, mais sans y être limité, des arbres d'entraînement à extrémité fermée, des arbres d'entraînement à extrémité ouverte, des passages traversants d'écoulement, des passages traversants sans écoulement, des bagues amovibles destinées à retenir les éléments d'extension/restriction de diamètre, et n'importe quelle combinaison de ces derniers.
