Abstract
During times of inclement weather, the goods loaded inside a shopping cart can be unprotected from the weather and become wet, damaged, during transport from the merchants store to a vehicle.
To mitigate this; a portable/personal expandable fitted rain resistant/waterproof tarp/cover is placed over the goods before leaving the store and protects the cart items during transport of the items in the shopping cart across the parking lot to your vehicle.

Description
Shopping Cart Cover The shopping cart cover is made of light weight flexible rain resistant/waterproof material with an elastic affixed in a body channel around the perimeter of the cover so as to provide a secure, flexible fit arounf the perimeter of the shopping cart.
The material of the cover is flexible to expand over contents of the cart should they exceed the height of the top of the cart.
The Shopping Cart Cover is stored in the products' provided storage pouch when not in use. The Shopping Cart Cover is removed from the storage pouch and stretched over the merchandise inside the cart by the user/owner. Claims (14)
Claims
1. A shopping cart cover of fabric material is to cover the cart merchandise loading face opening area and provide protection from rain, elements, and environmental exposures of goods in shopping cart.
2. A shopping cart cover of fabric material is to cover the cart merchandise loading face opening area recited in claim 1 may not provide protection from rain, elements, and environmental exposures of goods in shopping cart.
3. A shopping cart cover of fabric material is to cover the cart merchandise loading face opening area recited in claims 1 and 2 may not require protection from rain, elements, and environmental exposures of goods in shopping cart.
4. The shopping cart cover recited in claims 1, 2 and 3 is expandable or contractible.
5. The shopping cart cover recited in claims 1, 2 and 3 can be made not expandable or contractible and of custom fixed specific sizing.
6. The shopping cart cover means of expansion and retraction recited in claim 4 is made available by means of a free-moving drawstring internal to a channeled perimeter and held in place at desired tension by means of a positional tensioning device or a perimeter channelized elastic cord.
7. The invention recited in claims 4 and 5 can be attached to the shopping cart for covering purposes with the use of hooks and/or Velcro loop fasteners, snaps and other types of fasteners not mentioned herein.
8. A shopping cart cover as recited in claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 is made from fabric or cloth material that is designed to be portable, reusable, and washable.
9. A shopping cart cover as recited in claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 can be made of natural or synthetic fabric, cloth, wool, hemp, woven or nonwoven, containing or not containing waterproof or water repellent properties or any other type of material, whether natural, manufactured or fabricated, not mentioned herein.
10. A shopping cart cover as mentioned in claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 contains a storage pouch for the shopping cart cover to be folded into itself for easy storage and transportation to and from each destination.
11. A shopping cart cover as mentioned in claims 1, 2, 3, 4 and 5 can be made to not contain a storage pouch for the shopping cart cover to be folded into itself for easy storage and transportation to and from each destination.
12. This invention as recited in claims 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 can be washed by hand or machine to enable multiple uses over an undetermined amount of time.
13. This invention as recited in claim 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5 cannot be washed by hand or machine to enable multiple uses over an undetermined amount of time and can be of single use and disposed.
14. This invention as recited in claim 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9 cannot be washed by hand or machine to enable multiple uses over an undetermined amount of time and can be of single use and disposed to a recycling program.
