Abstract
A handheld system for delivering flavoured oxygen for recreational use by delivering a bolus of oxygen to the user each time the user puffs in on the mouthpiece. The system includes (1) the said mouthpiece, (2) a containment container for a flavor tablet,(3) a conserver to hold the oxygen until demanded, (4) an oxygen concentrator, (5) a rechargeable lithium battery, (6) a receptacle to accept a recharger cord....as well as containment valve (A) to contain the flavour until demand, containment valve (B) to allow flow from the consenter, containment valve (C) to contain the oxygen in the the concentrator until demand when the conserver is emptied. Activation sensor (7) becomes active upon the opening of valve (B) and has the oxygen concentrator bring air in from the air intake and concentrate the oxygen, When valve (C) opens (allowing the oxygen to flow into the conserver), the deactivation sensor (8) stops the concentrating process. The device now awaits the next puff in.
Description
ABSTRACT: A handheld system for delivering flavoured oxygen for recreational use by delivering a bolus of oxygen to the user each time the user puffs in on the mouthpiece.
The system includes (1) the said mouthpiece, (2) a containment container for a flavor tablet,(3) a conserver to hold the oxygen until demanded, (4) an oxygen concentrator, (5) a rechargeable lithium battery, (6) a receptacle to accept a recharger cord_ ..as well as containment valve (A) to contain the flavour until demand, containment valve (B) to allow flow from the conserver, containment valve (C) to contain the oxygen in the the concentrator until demand when the conserver is emptied.
WHAT IS CLAIMED IS:
a system for delivering a recreational, flavoured breathing gas to the user, comprising:
a gas source a conserver between the gas source and the flavour container a flavour container for a tablet ( spearmint, menthol or fruit) a mouthpiece FIELD OF THIS INVENTION
This invention relates generally to a person versed in the habit of vaping and/or smoking and as such relates to a system delivering a pleasing, healthy alternative.
The application of oxygen concentrators for therapeutic use is known and many variants of such devices exist. The portable class of oxygen concentrators is acceptable in most public venues. This invention requires little power in that the bolus of oxygen drawn on each occasion is quite small This bolus, which is significantly less than the total volume of a typical inhalation, is entrained in the breath's air intake and mixes with the air, eventually reaching the lungs, esophagus, and respiratory cavities (nose and mouth).
Approximately half of an inspiration enters the lungs, where the oxygen is absorbed_ Elevated oxygen concentration in this volume results in greater transfer of the gas to the blood, which enhances the health of the user.
