Description

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION AND PRIOR ART
The invention pertains generally to a computer system, specifically to gaming-multimedia system assembled inside a backpack with integrated display. The modern day gaming consoles and multimedia devices require an AC electric source to be powered 'on', an open space for mounting, a separate display screen for visual output, such as a television or a monitor.
These consoles are relatively large in size and are not portable. The required display units with these console devices are large, delicate, and are impractical to travel with. Numerous attempts have been made trying to make these consoles portable. The current market provides solutions in forms of suitcase-style portable cases, but face challenges in power supply and efficient portability. These products operate on AC power output, which limits the product usage to the provision of a power outlet. Moreover, the case's storage is limited to storing only one console causing inconvenience adding extra luggage to the user.
The present invention provides an advantageous solution through high computing power, visual display output, portability, storage space and a backup battery for power. All solutions are integrated together inside a backpack. Hence, in practical terms, the backpack can be carried on the user's back making it highly portable; providing storage space compartment for the user, pertains a powerful battery to power the circuitry, thus allowing the product to operate without the need for an AC power outlet. The screen on the backpack is the primary display, which is also capable of being a secondary display for other devices.

Considered broadly, the invention pertains to a computer system specifically used for gaming and multimedia, which is encased in a backpack with a display screen as the front face of the product. The computer system comprises of a motherboard; which comprises of; a processor, a graphic card, Memory RAM, a WiFi card, a BIOS, a battery, a cooling assembly, and audio output assembly. This system is enclosed inside a safe, waterproof and shockproof compartment. This computer assembly connects to a display screen which is the front face of the backpack. This screen is the primary display output for the system. The additional attachments to the motherboard can be made through the ports that are placed on the lateral sides of the product. These ports include USB, HDMI, Thunderbolt, Ethernet etc., that provide connectivity to cellphones, controllers, computers etc. The bottom side has a set of wheels and protruding legs that position the backpack vertically upright, mounting the display in a portrait orientation. The lateral side has similar protruding legs and a tilting mechanism to position the backpack horizontally, upwards providing a landscape orientation to the screen and can be tilted at limited viewing angles. The top side has a locking mechanism that secures the backpack's opening and closing functionality and provides access to the inner compartments. The rear-side of the backpack integrates attachments to connect straps, belts, binds, ties or a vest to the backpack providing comfortable portability, worn on the user's back.

Date recue/ Received Date 2020-04-07 Detailed Description Of The Invention The following detailed description is of the best currently contemplated models of the invention. The description is not to be taken in a limiting sense, but is made merely for the purpose of illustrating the general principles of the invention. The scope of the invention is best defined by the appended claims.
The terms "back", "rear", "posterior", "anterior", "front", "lateral", "top", "bottom" used here-in in relation to the backpack, such that the region or face nearest to the user's back when the backpack is worn, is the "back", "rear" or "posterior". Relatively, the region or face, away from the user's back when the backpack is worn, is the "front" or "anterior". The region or face between the "back" and "front" of the backpack, is the "lateral". The region or the face closest to the ground when the backpack is worn is referred to as "bottom" and the relative opposite region or face is referred to as "top".
The present invention is a portable computer system console, enclosed inside a backpack and can be worn on the user's back. The front or the anterior side of the invention is a display screen which is the primary display output for the console. The rear or the posterior side has cushion and hoops or attachments to install shoulder straps or vest for comfort carriage and portability. The lateral sides have ports for the motherboard extension to enhance connectivity and power supply.
It also stands to orient the product in landscape mode and has a tilting mechanism to angle the product's placement at desired viewing angles. The bottom side has stands for the product to balance, stand upright in a portrait orientation, and has a pair of wheels to drag the product across. The top has a locking mechanism for accessing the inner compartments of the products and a handle bar for grip to hold the backpack.
Referring to Fig 1-7, the anterior face of the backpack 10 is a screen 52 installed securely inside a transparent flat object 12 particularly a plastic that ensures protection and avoid direct contact to the screen 52. The screen 52 is mounted on safe standoffs that provide security through advanced shock-proofing and flexibility. The screen 52 size can range from 8 inches to 20 inches, can be flexible, fold-able, slide-able, triple faced. The top side of the screen 52 holds a company logo 16 that can be embossed, digital, or LED. The screen 52 is the primary display output for the console.
The posterior of the backpack 10 is the part that aligns against the back of the user. This part is generally a sweat-free breathable cushion 38 that supports and provides comfort to the user's back.
There are at least three connectors 36 for installing a pair of shoulder straps or a vest that ensures easy comfortable hands-free portability. This side may further include ports and connections to attach heating or cooling pads that align with the cushion to provide heating or cooling based on weather changes.
One of the lateral sides have ports 44 for the motherboard's 54 extension and power supply. These ports mainly include power supply port, USB, HDMI, Thunderbolts, Aux., thus making the product compatible with other devices. The speakers 46 for audio output are installed on each of the lateral sides. The motherboard 54 has a cooling assembly that requires an exhaust 40 which is installed on either of the lateral sides. The ports 44 are secured using a water-proof detachable cover to keep water, snow or dust from entering the ports. The other lateral side has protruding stands 24 and a tilting mechanism that helps mounting the product in landscape orientation. This provides customized viewing angles and stability to the product.
The bottom side of the backpack 10 has stands 26 and wheels 28 for mounting the product in portrait mode and provides further stability to the product orientation. The top side has a handle bar 18 to Date recue/ Received Date 2020-04-07 provide a comfort grip to the backpack 10 and holds the latch to the locking mechanism 22. This locking mechanism 22 could be mechanical or electronics and provides access to the inner compartment 34 of the backpack 10.
The inner compartment 34 of the backpack 10 is the basic storage space. Its secured from one side by the back panel and other side from a protective front panel; which is also the base of the motherboard assembly 54. There are pockets and sleeves that provide custom utility storage for user's peripherals.
The inner compartment 34 may further include custom cellphone pockets to provide wireless charging.
The motherboard assembly 54 is mounted on the opposite side of the inner panel. It sits on a platform with rubber supports for shock proofing and safety. The motherboard 54 includes a basic assembly of, but is not limited to, an integrated processor 58, an integrated or non-integrated graphic card 56, a WiFi-card 60, an HDD storage, NVMe ports, eDP ports, Audio output 46, USB
extensions, HDMI
extensions, Ethernet extensions, an audio output assembly, a power button. The motherboard 54 is connected to a battery 62. The battery 62 extends to the Power port which uses a power supply cable for AC power input for recharging. The battery 62 can be recharged through multiple methods. An AC
output connection, use of solar panels, use of kinetic energy generated by user's movements can be used to recharge the battery 62.
The backpack 10 is in-lined with shockproof rubber and foam along the edges and corners. A
waterproof layer is integrated between the inner and outer layers of the backpack's body to keep water from seeping in.
The system runs a software that can be connected to the user's smartphone through another software application. This software is the basic User Interface for the system. A
handheld controller is the primary Input device and the smartphone software application is the secondary Input device.
