Abstract

Il est décrit une méthode de traitement d'un flux d'effluents aqueux consistant à soumettre le flux d'effluents aqueux contenant au moins un solvant organique, du furfural et de l'eau à une distillation azéotropique pour obtenir un flux de distillat et un flux d'effluents traités, dans laquelle tout solvant organique est choisi à partir du groupe qui consiste en des cétones cycliques, des cétones dialcoylées et des dérivés du benzène. Il est décrit une méthode de production de furfural utilisant la méthyl isobutyl cétone (MIBK) et l'isophorone (ISP) comme solvants du furfural dans laquelle la MIBK, l'ISP et le furfural sont éliminés d'un effluent aqueux en une seule étape de distillation. L'invention permet d'obtenir un flux d'effluents présentant des valeurs de demande biochimique en oxygène (DBO) et de demande chimique en oxygène (DCO) plus faibles qui peuvent être encore réduites par fermentation méthanique.
