Abstract

A system, method and platform are herein provided for enabling colonoscopy procedure diet and medication preparation compliance enhancement. According to one embodiment, a system or platform is provided for a patient specific, bowel cleansing agent specific, dose specific and date specific instruction sheet to be printed. Alert on the calendar as to stop taking the blood thinner medication(s) prior to the procedure.

Description

Background Under the current practice, many key clinical stakeholders still use paper and pen in their daily work caring for patients. This is because where there is not a tool out there to cater for their specific and unique needs. The general instruction to the patients is not personalized medicine. The patients and their families have to interpret the instructions with their minimal medical knowledge. The cracks that fell through the misinterpretation of the instructions and the memory process may miss some points and administer an incorrect amount of medication as required. Not many major players exist out there because this is such a narrow spectrum specialized field of expertise and individualized delivery of health care.
Invention Software tool has been designed and developed to generate a colour coded personalized colonoscopy instruction sheet that is patient specific, cleansing agent specific and dose specific to be printed. The software application is Cloud based that clinicians can access from different locations.

Claims

A colonoscopy procedure diet, blood thinners and cleansing agent preparation management system comprising of an application to allow prescribing clinicians to select options to print a patient specific, cleansing agent specific, dose specific and date specific colour coded paper instruction sheet.
The system of claim 1, wherein said a platform to allow prescriber to select the blood thinners medication to be held before colonoscopy procedure.
The system of claim 2, wherein said a patient specific, cleansing agent specific, diet specific and date specific colour coded colonoscopy preparation instruction sheet to be printed.
