Description

EXTENSIBLE/RETRACTABLE CURTAIN RAIL
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates generally to an extensible/retractable curtain rail, and more particularly to a rail structure enabling a curtain assembly to be more conveniently and quickly installed.
2. Description of the Related Art A conventional curtain assembly is installed on the wall face above a window. When installed, the curtain assembly (including the shade sheet winder, the reel and the shade sheet) is generally previously assembled on the installation rail. Then, the fastening plates are latched with the installation rail to lock the installation rail on the wall face above the window. At this time, the curtain assembly can be operated to provide sunlight shading effect. In addition, in order to conceal the curtain assembly to beautify the appearance, a decorative panel integrally extends from the front end of the installation rail to provide decoration effect for the curtain assembly.
However, the decorative panel and the installation rail are an integrated structure so that the operation space for the installation is fixed and narrow. The curtain assembly can be only installed from the lower space and lateral space of the installation rail. The narrow space makes it difficult to install the curtain assembly so that the installation speed is affected.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
It is therefore one aspect of the present invention to provide an extensible/retractable curtain rail. The extensible/retractable curtain rail has a connection end formed on the rail main body. A
decorative panel can be connected with the connection end by means of more than one connection seats. The decorative panel is connected with the connection end to form an extensible/retractable structure.
The connection seats can be inward retracted or outward extended to adjust the connection width between the decorative panel and the rail main body in accordance with different sizes of curtain assemblies for facilitating installation thereof. Moreover, the decorative panel is detachable to provide larger installation space of the rail main body, whereby the curtain assembly can be more conveniently and quickly installed.
To achieve the above, the extensible/retractable curtain rail of the present invention mainly includes: a rail main body for securely installing the components of the curtain assembly thereon, the rail main body having several horizontal boards and several vertical boards integrally formed with each other, a connection end extending from a front end of the rail main body, an upper face of the connection end being formed with teeth; more than one connection seats connected with the connection end of the rail main body, each connection seat including a horizontal board and a vertical board, the horizontal board being formed with an upper stopper board and a lower stopper board, the upper stopper board being further formed with teeth for engaging with the connection end, the vertical board being engaged and connected with the decorative panel; and a decorative panel including a decorative board and an extension end, the decorative board downward extending to forma receiving channel for receiving a decoration plate, the extension end horizontally extending from an upper section of the decorative board, an engagement channel being formed on an inner corner contained between the decorative board and the extension end for the vertical board of the connection seat to insert therein and connect therewith. The connection end of the rail main body and the extension end of the decorative panel are connected with each other by means of the connection seats to form an extensible/retractable structure. The connection seats can be inward retracted or outward extended to adjust the connection distance and space between the decorative panel and the rail main body in accordance with different sizes of curtain assemblies, whereby the curtain assemblies can be more conveniently and quickly installed.
The present invention can be best understood through the following description and accompanying drawings, wherein:

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Please refer to Figs. land 2. The present invention mainly includes a rail main body 1 and more than one connection seats 2 and a decorative panel 3. The rail main body 1 is integrally formed of a front vertical board 10, a rear vertical board 100 and a horizontal board 11. The middle section of the horizontal board 11 and the tail end of the rear vertical board 100 are respectively integrally formed with securing ribs 110, 111 for securely connecting with fastening plates. A connection end 114 forward extends from the front end of the rail main body 1. An upper face of the connection end 114 is formed with teeth 115 for cooperatively connecting with the connection seats 2. The connection seats 2 are connected with the connection end 114 of the rail main body 1. Each connection seat 2 includes a horizontal board 20 and a vertical board 21. The horizontal board 20 is formed with an upper stopper board 200 and a lower stopper board 201. A lower face of the upper stopper board 200 is formed with teeth 202 for engaging with the teeth 115 of the connection end 114 of the rail main body 1. The vertical board 21 serves to engage and assemble with the decorative panel 3. The decorative panel 3 includes a decorative board 30 and an extension end 31. The decorative board 30 downward vertically extends to form a receiving channel 300 for receiving a decoration plate. The extension end 31 perpendicularly protrudes from an upper section of the decorative board 30. An engagement channel 32 is formed on an inner corner contained between the decorative board 30 and the extension end 31 for the vertical board 21 of the connection seat 2 to insert therein. The connection seats 2 can be inserted and engaged with the rail main body 1 and the decorative panel 2 to assemble the rail main body 1 and the decorative panel 2 into an extensible/retractable rail structure with the width adjustable (as shown in Fig. 2).
When installed (as shown in Fig. 3), the rail structure of the present invention is locked wi th the curtain assembly fixing bracket 4. Thereafter, the perforation 40 of the curtain assembly fixing bracket 4 is for latching and assembling with the latch block 50 of the winder 5 and then together securely disposed in the space under the rail. After the components of the roller shade or zebra shade assembly are installed in the space under the rail, the decorative panel 3 is connected with the connection seats 2 and directly latched to conceal the components of the curtain assembly.
The hollow sections of two sides of the curtain assembly are covered by the cover boards 40 with the insertion blocks 4 (as shown in Fig.
4) to complete the installation of the roller shade or zebra shade assembly (as shown in Fig. 5). Finally, the fastening plates 6 are = 6 latched with the securing ribs 110, 111 of the horizontal board 11 and the rear vertical board 100. Then, the fastening plates 6 are locked on the wall face 62 above the window 61 by means of fixing members 60. Under such circumstance, the roller shade or zebra shade assembly can be operated to shade the sunlight (as shown in Fig.
6).
Please now refer to Fig. 7. The rail main body 1 and the decorative panel 3 are assembled into an extensible/retractable rail structure.
Therefore, when installing a larger curtain assembly, the decorative panel 3 is outward pulled and extended to enlarge the enclosure space of the assembled rail main body 1 and decorative panel 3. In this case, the larger curtain assembly can be installed in the space.
Please now refer to Fig. 8, which shows another embodiment of the rail main body of the present invention. In this embodiment, a horizontal board 5 integrally extends from the rear side of the connection end 114 to enlarge the installation area of the rail main body for the components of the curtain assembly. In this case, the larger curtain assembly can be directly installed without adjusting the decorative panel. Accordingly, the components of the larger curtain assembly can be quickly installed (as shown in Figs. 9 and 10).
Please now refer to Fig. 11, which shows still another embodiment of the rail main body of the present invention. In this embodiment, a receiving passage 101 is integrally formed on rear side of the rear vertical board 100 of the rail main body 1. When installing a zebra shade, the tail end of the shade sheet of the zebra shade can pass through the receiving passage 101 without swinging.
Thereafter, the tail end of the shade sheet of the zebra shade is securely disposed in the receiving passage 101 to complete the installation of the zebra shade.
Please now refer to Fig. 12, which shows still another embodiment of the rail main body of the present invention. In this embodiment, two horizontal receiving passages 8, 80 are respectively formed at lower ends of the two vertical boards 10, 100 of the rail main body 1. When installing a zebra shade, either of the receiving passages 8, 80 of the rail main body 1 can be selected without distinguishing the direction of installation. Accordingly, the zebra shade can be quickly installed.
The scope of the claims should not be limited by the preferred embodiments set forth in the examples but should be given the broadest interpretation consistent with the description as a whole.
